Ryanne is a middle schooler. Bub is a sophomore. He said F it to football. Devastated everyone.

Ryanne has been kicking some butt in middle school.

Ryanne went on an eleven point run, serving to win the third set. She was on fire, those serves were dropping and and it was amazing. Then they took on the team they were tied with in league and absolutely destroyed them. They should easily roll into the city tournament in second place unless the first place team has a total collapse.

Bub hit 300 innings caught, between high school and club. He's been playing up with 18U team and down with his 16U team.

Funny story from the weekend. I have been laid up with a cold, miserable, hacking. Haven't been this sick in a long time.

Anyways, Bub has caught, I think all but two games this year.

My sister has been hacked off, catcher's at this age don't run. They get courtesy runners. Pitchers and catchers.

Bob is coaching the team this year. Bob owns the organization. Bob is an old black guy, coaching a bunch of things that will get this post censored. Bob is great guy, nice guy, funny guy, an old school ballplayer that doesn't mince words with his older players.

He's busting his butt to get that guys that really work hard a college scholarship. This is just my opinion but from watching how he is coaching I have no doubt he is working for some of the guys.

Anyways, Bub hit a double. My sister has been on Bob's butt about letting Bub run and after Bub his the double, she got the stands to start chanting, "Let Bub run, Let Bub run."

I'm chuckling and I look over at Bob. The fall sun is right behind him, his ballcap is pulled down low, and all I can see is a big grin on his face. Usually it's just a quiet and polite request from the umpire for a courtesy runner.

Instead, as loud as he can he shouts, "GET ME A PINCH RUNNER!" With a big shi... with a big grin on his face. He is doubled over laughing, the stands are laughing, Bub comes off the field and high-fives his pinch runner, laughing.

I love this game, I love it even more when the people are having fun.

Ryanne's team went into the city tournament as the number 2 seed. They got a bye through the first round and took on a team with some solid players in the semi-final.

They dropped the first set to a team that had a warm up and were fired up. They lost 26-24. The second set the Huskies stormed back and won easily. The third set Ryanne had the ball and dropped 13 straight points on the Bulldogs. She was on fire, serving where ever she wanted to put. Down the line, on the line. She was awesome.

Lost the championship game to a team that went undefeated in league, with some tall, solid players. Nothing to be disappointed about.
