Re: Almost over SATURDAY @ the MSC
Good morning Linda, Debbie, gang….
Maybe I am getting old and crotchety, but I am pretty much over the hoopla of the end of year/new year business. I am ready to start trudging toward longer days and warmer weather.
I think it may be due to the fact that we are on like Day 6 of cloudy wet weather here, I haven’t made much of a dent in putting away Christmas, and I have to start preparing to wake up to an alarm in a few days…. Rumor has it the sun may come out around 2 so that is motivating me to get indoor chores done. We will see how far that motivation carries me this morning….
Regardless, I hope everyone has a great day—-sounds like Football will be a thing the next few days so that will break up the laziness a bit. I really wouldn’t mind winning a few mill so I could stop working and maybe be lazy 24/7.

Good morning, ladies. We took down our big tree, but leave up a pencil tree for color. I'll get the outside lights next week.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Morning, friends.
Supposedly the last of the grey drizzle for awhile. Due for some sun and will be appreciated, Vitamin D and the Devil’s lettuce can only do so much. Decorations are down but the lights will stay until the sun is truly back.

Good morning Linda, Deb, Mel, Bill, Nancy, and Tammy!
Molly - I hope Larry is feeling better!
Tammy, I'm glad the tests were mostly positive, and you're on the mend.
They'll be no tree taking down for a few weeks yet. Mostly because of no bending/lifting/twisting orders, but the Denver area has an almost 80 year tradition to leave lights up until after the National Western Stock show is over. https://nationalwestern.com/
Another sunny day in the 50's, so we can go on a walk later. I finally went to the grocery store late yesterday afternoon, and it was nice to see more than these four walls. And Cameron & Sarah were both working so it was nice to see them too!
Ken - hope YOU are feeling better, too!
Made E some sausage/eggs/toast this morning and we both enjoyed that.

Good afternoon. My heat's on too, but the temperature was 43 degrees when I woke up this morning. I think it's about 50 now.
I'm sure there are some college bowl games on TV today and there's a cornhole tournament in town this weekend (when did cornhole become a sport?) but there's a hockey game on at 7:00 so that's what I'll be watching. I'm well stocked with beer.

Afternoon BNers
Thanks for asking Penny but Larry is no better...might be worse. Anyway, we aren't going anywhere. I hate that the tickets were paid for and not being used.
He is running a temp and sweating alot
He turned off the heat. Since he is sick, I am sleeping on the couch. It was 63 degrees in the house during the night. Brrrrrrr

Good evening fellow BNers
I seem to be in the minority here, but IMHO Christmas is not over until those wise men arrive on the Feast of the Epiphany, aka the 12th Day of Christmas!
Considering this fact, NO Christmas decor is removed at Chez Soul until AFTER January 6th! Getting off my soapbox now!

Was the concert tonight? Does the place have a ticket resale service?

Yes, it was tonight. I don't think they resell. Anyway, it wasn't sold out. Maybe a friend sat second row center.SMLCHNG wrote: ↑December 30, 2023 6:37 pmSorry to hear this.springparrot wrote: ↑December 30, 2023 4:16 pm Afternoon BNers

Re: Almost over SATURDAY @ the MSC
We've purged our Christmas decorations already, so only a few thing to toss out that we didn't use again this year, Linda.
Sorry, Molly. Hate that it happened, but sometimes it does.
We're watching DU hockey on TV - since we can't get there for our season tickets, hopefully in a couple of weeks.
I've officially decided that when I do get to retire in 2025, I will HAVE to have some sort of job to keep me busy. Even if it's only a few hours a day/week. I'm about to lose my mind.
