Rain is coming TUESDAY @ the MSC
Good Morning!
We are expecting high gusty winds & torrential rain today......yuck.
That may be the highlight of our Tuesday
Mom cancelled her 1/25 follow-up dr appt. We talked to the dr last night and decided that's OK - it was a med check for the 2 new meds he gave her last month. Since she is really struggling with taking them we are just going to stop those 2. She also cancelled her hair appt that was a reschedule from her cancellation last week. The stylist is moving away so we will need to deal with finding her backup stylist (she can't remember her name and we can't find a phone # although she thinks she knows where the shop is located). We'll deal with that another day.

Good morning.
The high temperature today might be 70 degrees. Too bad we're also supposed to get 2 inches of rain, 40-50 mph wind with gusts as high as 60 and maybe a tornado. I think this might be a good day to stay indoors.

Re: Rain is coming TUESDAY @ the MSC
Last month we had our warmest December ever (average daily temp of 45.2°). So far this month we’re on track for our wettest January ever. Now the National Weather Service has issued a Blizzard Warning for parts of western Washington (for only the fourth time ever).
We get Winter Storm Warnings once in a while… the criteria for a Winter Storm Warning is heavy snow: 6 inches in 12 hours or 8 inches in 24 hours. A Blizzard Warning takes it up a notch by adding in heavy winds. The forecast is for up to three feet of snow and winds up to 65 mph.
At my house it’s blowing a steady 25-30 mph and we’ve had gusts up to 52. We seldom see snow; we’re at sea level here and the proximity to Puget Sound helps keep us a couple of degrees warmer than the elevations just to the east of us. Nonetheless, I got my snow shovel and rock salt out of the shed and I’m ready for action…..

I know the voices in my head aren’t real, but sometimes they have really good ideas…..

Morning, peeps.
All of the above, except it’ll be snow instead of rain in Limeville. That’s fine by me, it’s absolutely gorgeous outside right now and looks like proper January winter. Pup is fluvving it, too. May head into town to see about lunch. Very few places open this time of year.
Happy Tuesday, y’all!

Morning BNers
We had the bad weather yesterday. A tornado hit Pasadena and did some damage.
Graupel also fell in some areas. We didn't get any but they are saying there is dust from West Texas in it.

I think I over did it yesterday because today all plans for doing more laundry have fallen by the wayside. I did however clean up the kitchen and load the dishwasher, but that's about all I had the energy to do. Bryan left for work around 6:20 and with the road conditions most schools around here closed, so I got up and waited for him to let me know when he was safely at work. Now I might need a nap.

Re: Rain is coming TUESDAY @ the MSC
I just got a weather alert on my phone, there's a tornado warning and a severe thunderstorm warning until 2:45. It was raining really hard for about 20 minutes but it just stopped. It's pretty windy but so far not as bad as they were predicting.

Re: Rain is coming TUESDAY @ the MSC
hoping all the crap moves out by Friday mid-day. we just booked an AirBnB 5 miles south of Roanoke for Thursday night. The way things are going for us right now I wasn't keen at getting up at 4 a.m. on Friday for a 10-hour drive. It's only $100 and for me it's well worth having a break in the driving - especially if the weather is bad. Plus we'd probably be exhausted by dinner on Friday.

We just got a phone alert for a tornado watch... in TAMPA!
I suspect our number must be registered with the alert system there as an emergency contact for our son... except he does not recall doing that!
Anyway... they are fine, I hope you are too!

Re: Rain is coming TUESDAY @ the MSC
Goodness me, everyone! Such weather craziness for all of you! We had sunshine today, so it mostly melted what we got yesterday morning. Some COLD weather upcoming for the next week, tho. Like overnight lows below zero for several days.
I spent most of the day doing odds and ends that I'm ABLE to do.
And I also read a book for a while. Watched stupid TV. Took a little nap. I'm so bored. Hope to get back to work on Monday.
Tammy - please don't overdo, okay???

Well deserved! Those kids played through a bunch of adversity and showed their grit. Conga rats to them!
