Morning Dr C & BN.
We ended up with 2 inches of snow on the ground. It changed over to sleet/freezing rain before moving north. Those were enough to close work today so I shall thoroughly enjoy this National Do Nothing day & get paid doing so!

Good morning, Ken. I observe Do Nothing Day most days in the winter.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

We have a warming trend here; we might get up to 40° today! It was unseasonably warm weather last month and we still had geraniums flowering in a few of our planters. The last week of unseasonably cold weather has taken care of that!

Howdy pholks!
Being retired means a lotta do nothing days and some days I don't even start that until mid-afternoon.

Bobby: No.

Got about 5 inches of snow last night into this morning. Schools were closed so I didn't have to drive the
granddaughter to school. It was around 20 degrees F so I went out to take care of the snow. Dug out the car,
shoveled the driveway and sidewalk. Went inside and put a roast in the crockpot for dinner later. Walked down
to the daughter's house and shoveled her sidewalk and driveway. On the way back home I picked up the neighbor's
trash cans that had been knocked over by the township snowplow. And then------breakfast!

I took full advantage of Do Nothing Day….woke up overnight with a fever, chills, and headache that was not kidding around. Took the day off work and have slept most of the day. Not sure work will be happening tomorrow although I feel a touch better tonight
It’s cold here but the sun was out for a while. That was a nice change of pace.
Well, look at the time….back to bed since I made it two hours …YaY me!

I was off today. I slept in and then straightened up a bit. Bryan requested Chicken and Noodles over mashed potatoes for dinner, so that's what I made.
Going back to work tomorrow. I'll stay as long as I feel like it.

Re: National Nothing Day TUESDAY @ the MSC
My college dorm is being demolished! It seemed fairly new when I lived there.....a half a century ago.
I reminisced about a Pittsburgh concert with an old friend tonight. This was at the Syria Mosque in 73. I was a little too enthusiastic and joined the band on stage. Another friend in the balcony, seeing me hauled off stage by security, yelled "I'll get you out of jail!" This was heard over the sound of the band. His dad was a cop and he knew a lot of the off duty police working the venue.

Good evening BN. Kevin was off today since the county was clued bc if bad weather. I was at work right on time.
We were treated to an awesome dinner at a local “fancy” Mexican restaurant by daughter Bridget son-in-law Andrew and grandson Eli. It was their Christmas gift to us. Yummmm. And I’ve got a full lunch for tomorrow from the leftovers.
