Time for PI Thursday @ the MSC

Post by Saltx3 »

Happy PI day !

Last night Our daughter & SIL brought each of us 6" pies for today. One is a bourbon pecan; the other is mixed berry. They are made at a tiny downtown Lancaster bakery owned by a husband & wife team. They are amazing pies and this young entrepreneur couple are doing a terrific business. The husband part of the business also works with our SIL.

Enjoy your pie today :)

Good morning Linda and BN! :)

No pies here. Unless I want to make one out of snow. We stayed home. 16" has fallen so far. And more during the day. This was what we woke up to.

When I lived on Long Island, the average snowfall for the entire winter was 25 inches. The last 2 years I was there, we had one storm each winter with over 20 inches in one day. Those storms helped me make my decision to move south.

They're helping our decision to move south, too! Just have a couple of years to go yet.

80 miles to the north, NO SNOW. My sister, who lives 20 miles north and east she can see the grass through the small amount of snow. It's up to my hips at the moment, and still snowing.

We’re told we had the warmest and wettest winter since 1999. The wet part was all rain. Snowfall was only 7”.

So I worked half a day today. Bryan called the doctor this morning and made an appointment for me in a couple of weeks, but after I got home from work he called and said that the doctor's office called and wanted me to come in immediately. I saw the NP and she decided that I should have another chest x-ray and she's also ordering Pulmonary Therapy. I've still been very short of breath since my bout with pneumonia and my oxygen saturation has been in the mid 80's and sometimes lower.

WOW! That is a boat-load of snow, Penny! :o
We used to get storms like that here... but not anything even remotely comparable in YEARS now.
This winter we had "plowable snow" exactly twice, and both times it was barely over the 3" plow-or-no-plow DPW criterium.

Hi there! I went in my friend's boat on a 6 mile resevoir he had never been on. Back at the ramp I saw his fuel gage pegged on empty!. The boat took 9.2 gallons in a 10 gallon tank. Glad we made it back.

Hang in there, Penny and Tammy.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

I look at the snow and think "why?"

If I was there I would be thinking "I gotta go where it's warm".
