Cooked? I hate the stuff. But raw? I'll have it in a salad occasionally.

Good late morning Penny. I don't eat spinach, I don't like green leafy things in my food.

We met at mom's house last evening with our realtor. We were good until we got to the basement....it will be a deal-breaker for most anyone (flooded 2 x in the past 15 years and is now concrete with walls cut out to about 2' up. 2 years before Covid a remediation company quoted $15,000 just to remove the concrete and install a french drain . We will probably not get much more than breaking even. But, we still need to move forward quickly since there's still taxes, utilities, etc that we are paying every month.

Should I go see Buddy Guy at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center in July? The last time I saw him was at the House of Blues, a much shorter trip and no overnight stay in a hotel.

Hi there! I was blocked last week. I felt like there was a bouncer at the door.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

He has an album called Damn Right I've Got The Blues. The email I got earlier says Buddy Guy Damn Right Farewell, I guess he's retiring.

Re: National Spinach day Tuesday @ the MSC
I thought I hated spinach because growing up my mom only served it from a can
However, as an adult and having it fresh, I found out I DO like it, both in salads and lightly sautéed with garlic!
We saw him quite a few years ago in a small place, (we thought he was old then! ) he was great! At 87 he has earned his retirement!!

Re: National Spinach day Tuesday @ the MSC
Seattle City Light left a notice on our door a couple of weeks ago saying they were going to turn the power off on March 19th at 8:00 pm for six hours to do maintenance. It never happened, and then they left another notice last week telling us that they would be doing it tonight.
Whointhehell turns off the power at that time of the day for maintenance? Why woiuldn't they do it during daylight hours when people are out and about or at work or at school or who knows where?
No, they have to do it at 8:00 pm, when it's dark out and people are home and getting ready for the next day or doing homework or watching the telly or whatever.... I just gotta make sure I'm not laid back in my recliner when to power goes out, I don't want to be trapped in it again!

That makes no sense at all!!SeattleParrotHead wrote: ↑March 26, 2024 10:42 pm Seattle City Light left a notice on our door a couple of weeks ago saying they were going to turn the power off on March 19th at 8:00 pm for six hours to do maintenance. But as for your recliner, many of them have a battery back-up now... hopefully, your model is one of them. This is not meant to be used to power the chair all the time, but simply a 9-volt that will close the chair and allow for exit during a power outage.
