Sure feels like a Garfield holding a huge coffee mug full of coffee day.
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Good morning, Ravi. Nice analogy, but not for me. It's a beautiful day.

Good Morning Fellas and all others who saunter into the MSC.

Not sure what we will try to do today....this weather thing.....ugh.

We knocked out a few small projects yesterday. Kevin will keep working on replacing all of the kitchen cabinet hinges with soft-closing ones. Got 2 doors done but this is a much larger kitchen space so it will take him longer than the those up north.

We sprinkled a large container of grass seed in the backyard yesterday. There's in area right in the middle of the yard that has a completely different type of stuff growing. We're not sure what the prior owners had in that space -- maybe a fire pit of some kind?

We've got friends from up north coming to North Myrtle Beach next week for a vacation -- we're anxious to catch up with them. They plan to visit church with us on Sunday and then we'll head out to lunch [smilie=hearts.gif]

But sometimes you still need that mug to enjoy the sun.

Morning Linda.

Good morning. I don't know if I want a big mug of coffee. When I still had a job I used to drink coffee all day. The first few years after I retired I still drank coffee every day. Now, other than with the free breakfast in the hotel when I was in South Dakota back in June, I can't remember the last time I had a cup of coffee.

Maybe I'll go stroll around Best Buy and see what the latest TVs look like. I have to get one eventually, the hockey season starts in October. 🏒

Check out Sony's website too, I see decent deals there too. Not sure how they compare to Best Buy but at least you might see what you like there too.

Ha!! Saw your post yesterday about still not having a TV. Hockey season creeping up rapidly was the first thing I thought of. :pirate:

Afternoon all! :)

Busy morning with closing payroll, and I'm just now getting a chance to breathe. Top it off is a Survey (like and audit) from the Joint Commission that started a few hours ago. One of the many things they do is they look to make sure everyone is wearing badges. So on top of everything this morning, I made 5 more badges for those who lost/forgot theirs.

Pretty day at mid 80's and sunny.

Time to eat some lunch.

Oh, and I like coffee - but only have some a few times a month.. Can I have vodka instead? ;)

I went to Best Buy and looked at TVs. I don't remember exactly when I bought the one that died last month but I still lived on Long Island so it was more than 12 years ago. It's a 40 inch screen, not a smart TV (I don't think they were around back then), and it cost more than $1,000. The smallest ones Best Buy had were 43 inches, several models from different manufacturers, and they were all less than $400. The cheapest one was $169. I didn't buy one yet, no rush.

I also went to lunch and had a couple of beers with my chicken sandwich. One of them was from Frothy Beard Brewing in Charleston, Project Frothy: F Bob-omb.

Hi there! I finally got rid of my landline and after a time away from, I walked into the living and looked to see if there were calls on the answering machine that was already thrown out.

My car is in the local garage with transmission issues. I made a new ride soon.

Our kids got us a 43" Smart TV for Christmas in 2022... and put all their "apps" on it for us too! I have to say we are enjoying it! The TV it replaced was not only "dumb" but it was SO old it had a tube! :o I suspect they wanted to have streaming ability when they visit, so it was a win for us all!

Wow! A tube TV that still worked. That is quality electronics. I have a small portable analog set purchased 23 years ago for travel. It was never turned on and I have not pitched it.

We have a couple of smart TVs, but I'm not smart enough to use them for anything other than watching TV. :-?

Yes, it really is nice to have! :D They knew we would never replace our TV since it still had a great picture... but this one can stream so we even got to watch some RM-TV in early 2023.

We actually still have one in the basement that was a wedding present... 20" tube, no remote, just a 13-channel dial...
We got married in 1977... you do the math!
