Snowmegaddon SUNDAY@ the MSC
Good morning BN. This is the worst storm since 77. We are expecting a foot today, I have a full day of shoveling and napping ahead. Some of Tammy's baked goods would be nice later.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Re: Snowmegaddon SUNDAY@ the MSC
Good morning Bill and BN!
We are also supposed to get a foot or more. There's still a ton of snow left on the ground after the last storm. The wind chills are in the negatives
Last night, I went to see the Megadeth movie/documentary with some of my family. I'm not a fan of the band and it was just Dave talking the entire time, but I was happy to spend time with them. We had an interesting dinner: chicken meatballs, pasta, sausage, and red sauce. I think there was some lemon in the red sauce.
Have a great Sunday Snowmegaddon, everyone!

Re: Snowmegaddon SUNDAY@ the MSC
Hello Everybody !
No snow or ice here in Myrtle Beach. We've pretty much stopped watching the weather guessers as it keeps changing. We'll just wait and see -- you know, like a surprise
. We've got milk, bread & eggs so we're good.
Another home improvement on the horizon. We're getting a quote to replace the mulch in the front & side flower beds with stone. A pet cat from a few doors away (who the owners say "gets out when we aren't looking" - (which is ALL THE TIME)), uses both of these beds as a litter box. We've tried all the home remedies & a few "official" ones -- nothing works. When it gets above 50 degrees the area around our front yard/driveway/door smells horrible. At least with the cold weather "Mater" seems to stay home more often.

Re: Snowmegaddon SUNDAY@ the MSC
Good Morning gang!
Fortunately for us a light snow that will fall much of the day is not supposed to accumulate too much. Still cold but much of an improvement. Don’t anticipate going anywhere as brought homework with me yesterday.
Pets are good, but they need to be kept in their own yards and that just doesn’t seem to happen like it should .
Super Bowl participants will be determined today but for a guy quite interested in sports my interest level is probably only a 3 out of 10.
.
Sorry to hear of all the snow forthcoming to you pholks to east & northeast. Be careful if you’re going old school snow removal.
Over & Out Buffetteers…

Re: Snowmegaddon SUNDAY@ the MSC
It's sunny and chilly here, no precipitation in the forecast until Wednesday. I'm gonna work in the yard until it's time for a little football. Like many of the rest of you, I don't care too much about pro sports these days and only watch if it involves the UW Huskies, the Mariners, or the Seahawks. The ridiculous money ruined pro sports years ago and now NIL $ and "free agency" has done the same to NCAA football.

I don't care too much about the early game, just so long as New England loses. The Seahawks - Rams game should be pretty good, they've already played twice this season and it's been pretty even, to say the least:

Same and same. We haven't watched a full game for 8? years. I like looking at the scores, but that's about it.SeattleParrotHead wrote: January 25, 2026 11:24 am I don't care too much about pro sports these days

Morning all. Slept past 5:00am today, to a whopping 6:30.

Re: Snowmegaddon SUNDAY@ the MSC
Good afternoon.
The Hurricanes played in Ottawa last night, the announcer said it was -8. The temperature, not the wind chill. He mentioned a couple of times during the game that he didn't know if they were going to be able to get back to Raleigh after the game, they were supposed to fly back last night. They don't play again until Thursday so if they couldn't fly last night it's really no big deal, except for what it's going to cost to keep them in the hotel in Ottawa for another night.

Oh, and it's currently around 8 degrees, falling to -5 later, but only 1-2" of snow.

It's currently 16* (wind chill of 7) and the weather map shows we have gotten 14" of snow and it's still coming down. We slept in this morning, then had waffles for brunch. Now I'm heading to the kitchen to make that Banana Peanut Butter bread. Wish I could get some to you, Bill! Tell Miss Anne, I said Hi and you guys stay safe and warm!bodypainter wrote: January 25, 2026 6:31 am Good morning BN. This is the worst storm since 77. Re: Snowmegaddon SUNDAY@ the MSC
Well, just got done shoveling the driveway and sidewalk. I think we got at least 2 inches of snow and it is still coming down. In hindsight, I should have gotten the snowblower serviced, but after not needing it the past two year I took the gamble.
Oh well, probably burned enough calories for an adult beverage later
I am interested in whether we will have school tomorrow. Everyone is complaining about how icy the roads are, and there are accidents everywhere. I won’t complain if they cancel. Always love a day off
Thinking of everyone else getting snowed in. Be careful shoveling. Between heart attacks and broken bones, it is a high risk activity anymore.

Re: Snowmegaddon SUNDAY@ the MSC
No shoveling here, and an hour or so ago it was 30 degrees and sunshine. So I took another load of stuff/trash/things to the dumpster. Tomorrow Cameron and I will take a drive to get rid of his beer making equipment, as well as his diving equipment. Don't want $$ for it, as they're used, just looking for a good home.
Now it's cloudy and looks like it's about to snow..

Re: Snowmegaddon SUNDAY@ the MSC
hi there! We didn't leave home, it's that bad out. I shoveled at 8AM, then at noon. A neighbor plowed the rest with his side by side. I'm shoveling again before dark. It is to snow until 11.
Anne messaged PHriends in Barrie, Ontario. They have had 12 feet of accumulation. Two thawing periods melted some, but they have nowhere to put it.

Be careful out there, kiddies...
Remember - If the snow doesn't get you, the ICE will!
We're going for a "Nelson" today - 111°F. (after Admiral Horatio Nelson, who allegedly only had "One Eye, One Arm, One Leg" near the end of his life.)

I watched the snow from my room at the cancer center.
