Strategies of Containment for my American History class. Not Fun.
I just finished reading Johnny Cash's Autobiography and I would suggest it to anyone who is a fan of the Man in Black. It is an amazing book.

Just finished LET THEIR SPIRITS DANCE by Stella Pope Duarte. A mother whose son was killed in Viet Nam decides to make a cross-country trip to touch his name on the Memorial Wall in D.C.

Very moving.

I got lucky, my folks lived Down Under at the time. So I was able to get art work at local prices

I've always wanted to visit Down Under, and that book only re-emphasized my wanting to.

I hear you there. Damn parents moved back to America before I had the chance to get down there.

Heard that book really makes you think. A friend of mine reads like a mad man, and he took months to finish that book. Said he had to put it down and think about the material before continuing several times

Definitely not one of the easier books I've read. Makes Pirsig seem like "See Dick Run" but then I suppose one can't expect grasping the basics of string theory without doing the math to be a cakewalk.

Tourist Season by Carl Hiassen.

The book in the bag for this weekend's trip to Key Largo is Triggerfish Twist by Tim Dorsey. Don't know if I'll have time to read it, but I might get some time on the plane.

After that it's anybody's guess. I might get back into Ghost Rider by Neil Peart. Had to put it down with about 9/10ths of it finished. I couldn't plow through it anymore, though I really enjoyed it.
