John Adams by David McCullough
I have had this book for years but never opened the cover. Did so the other day and now don't know why I didn't crack the spine sooner.

Re: What are YOU reading?
I have this too. Usually it takes me anywhere from one to fifteen years to read the books that I buy. Often the public library pre-empts my shelf. A short story book? That may take 10 years to read.green1 wrote:John Adams by David McCullough

Re: What are YOU reading?
Reading "World Without End" by Ken Follett. He wrote "Pillars of the Earth" which Oprah had on her reading list. This picks up in the same town 200 years later with the descendents of some of the characters from that story. There is no true hero. All of his characters have personality aspects that are entirely human. Bravery, cowardice, vice, virtue, humility, pride . . . all play out in all of the characters to a greater or lesser degree. Excellent read.
