You said you were going to vote based on a email you received ... that's scary to me. Get out on the Internet and go to the sources, not the blogs, and read for yourself where these guys stand.
Or not.
I already am, kinda. I googled Politics 101 to find out what left and right mean!

Oh, and a funny thing... (to me - definitely scary to you!

) Political discussions never existed in my home... I'm the youngest of 6, and we're all clueless. I think it's because we were raised to be so non-confrontational.
I don't know all our facts, but I do know these:
My 52 year old sister is voting for the first time this year. (You'll be happy to know she's voting for Obama. Why? Her husband has been out of work for a year.)
Talking about something in politics with my 54 year old sister, she said something about George Bush and his dad a couple weeks ago. I don't even recall what, but she said "George Bush, and his dad... his dad was in politics or something, wasn't he?"

Even I knew that much!
So yes... be afraid. Be very afraid. We're not the only uninformed family in the country, I'm sure. But we're a pretty happy go lucky family... what do they say? Ignorance is bliss!
