Last time at Tinley (2012), yes they opened around 12:15-12:30.
(Last year the concert was at Northerly Island, and thankfully it's back at Tinley Park for 2014).

We pre-partied @ the Odyssey SweetSpot Bar/driving range at the entrance to Tinley, expecting lot to open around 2-3p like they said. Then saw people filing in shortly after 12 so we jumped in as well. Plans for this year will allow true pre-tailgating @ Holiday Inn before making our way to TP (instead of makeshift party @ a bar).

Does it appear anyone may have a unused hotel room or two near the venue for Saturday night?
Staying in the big city Thursday & Friday then hoping to shift closer to the action for Saturday.

PM me if so.

THANKS!

I've got my tickets for this concert and can't wait to get caught up with BN friends. However, why isn't this concert listed under "Tours" menu? I almost had a heart attack! It's still on isn't it?

It's on Margaritaville.com's tour menu. Definitely happening.

What time does the Holiday Inn tailgate start? It's going to be our meeting spot this year before going to the lot.

So happy to be back in Tinley Park this year...

Hopefully it starts at breakfast time. I know we'll be rolling out of bed ready to have a day full of tailgating fun, whether or not we're alone out there at first is yet to be seen.

I'll be bringing Duckett with me to the Chicago concert. A little closer I would like to get in touch with some of you going so I can be sure to find you in the parking lot and make sure Duckett gets to me all of you.

Kay!

Couldn't decide whether Duckett should 'meet' them or 'meat' them?

Thinking about getting into town on Wednesday before the show & catching the Cubs game that night. Any tips on best seating for a Cubs game & places to hang out before the game in Wrigleyville?

OK peeps...it's about a month to the big day!

Anyone know what the plans are for the tailgate? What time is Tinley opening the lot?

I did find this on the Live Nation page for the venue, and it gave me a chuckle;
http://www.livenationvenue.com/first-midwest-bank-amphitheatre wrote:Tailgating is not permitted on venue property due to a local municipal ordinance. The only event that permits tailgating is Jimmy Buffett on June 28th, 2014. At no other time are guests permitted to consume alcohol in the parking lots.
Is the Holiday Inn doing anything/allowing a pre-tailgate party?

LiveNation confirmed to me that the gates will open @ 3 for tailgating at the venue. Worth noting: they said that last time and then they opened gates @ 1230.

Enjoy yourself, Ken! I guess Alpine just wasn't in the cards for you again this year? Like they say at Wrigley, "There's always next year"!

How bad of a sign is it that he closed his 1st show of this tour w/ Lovely Cruise? Am I overreacting or does this seem to hint @ things I'm not ready to accept yet?
