The big promotional screen was flashing from the MGM, and I made it a point to ask every cabbie who drove us: "What's it like here when Jimmy is performing"? Everyone one of them said how crazy it was, and that they don't want to drive that night because Jimmy fans are always drunk, and poor tippers. I told them all that I was sorry to hear that because I am huge Buffett fan.
Not much response from them on that. So I tipped well, and tried to stay sober.
You must 've run into some sour pusses. Every cabbie I had got a good tip (and a couple leis or beads to boot!!!) I'm sure there were some cheap skates -like with any group- but I'd hate to have our group as a whole unfairly tagged that way.
Cabbies in this town always like to b**** about tips.....they figure a little empathy will help out when its time to pay the fare at the end of that ride.
Trust me, parrotheads probably tip much better than the average tourists....cab drivers are just some of the top scammers in this town.
This is my first post. It will also be my first JB concert. We have been to Vegas many times but this is great. What is the talk about name tags? See you all there.

Not going to Vegas to see JB this time around because we already booked a trip a few days before the show was announced. But I'll be in Vegas from 4/3 to 4/6. PM me if anything is going on of interest during that time
It's a jungle out there kiddies... Have a very fruitful day.

Someone is making name tags so we can identify people from Buffettnews.
I wasn't planning to go out yesterday. Shawn came back from lunch and said he had heard on the radio that a place down the street from work had flown in 2 "world class" flair bartenders from Vegas. Well, there's only one place in Vegas that advertises world class flair bartenders. So I just had to go check it out and see if it was anyone I knew. Sure as $hit, when I got there I ordered a Jager from Robin from Carnival Court! She about freaked when she saw me. By 5:00 I was toasted and by about 11 I didn't even know my name. Luckily, I had been smart enough to come back to this end of town much earlier. I ended up calling in stupid today and am going through detox right now. Wait, its Friday.... I have to do it all over again tonight!
What a wonderful coinkeydink (new word )..............have been "contemplating" visiting my mother and sister before sister moves to England. Prolly won't make the concert but guess I better catch up on this thread and see where the parties are going to be
