Re: HEALTHY LIVING
Conga-rats Jack!
I quit smoking a couple of weeks ago. It was not as tough though, I guess it's because my thing is cigars, usually cheap ones. Every day at work I'd smoke a five pack of blunts mixed in the small cigarellos.
The wife hates it and my son ran the guilt trip on me so what the heck.
I do miss having a beer in one hand and a cigar in the other. Guess I'll hold a beer in it too
I do intend on doing it every now and then...special occasions I guess, even though that would prolly just start me back into it.

Re: HEALTHY LIVING
7 full days with no cheating!!
I have stuck to my 1077 or less calories a day and logging all meals .....
Sunday
lunch - 100 calorie pack of crackers, 1 oz brie cheese, 4 oz turkey sausage, celery
snack - 100 calorie pack of baked cheetos
15 oz miller lite (super cold at the bowling alley - could not resist but still counted the calories
)
dinner - tortilla soup
Also did a 30 minute workout on Sunday......
Hubby decided to buy a Wii over the weekend and I was going to get Wii Fit but..........they are no where to be found here yet...everyone says they will have some in soon.

Just finished an hour on fitness level workout. I know it may sound silly but you really do get a workout and it is a nice change up. the one I have you can load your own music onto which I really like. Let me say, "Bang on the Drum"....kicked my rear!
Keep up the good work all! Peace
Forgive me I haven't checked in for a few days. I actually have the exact one that BB put up the pic of. I have a ps2 and it works great! The game I use most is not the DDR it is one called "Dance Factory". The company is called codemasters. I like this one best because I can load whatever music I want to use and it designs the moves for any song. Alot of the DDR songs get on my nerves because it seems they all sound very similiar. I think most of them have the fitness mode though. You can put in your weight and it tracks calories as you dance. How accurate? Not sure but never sure on anything that says it tracks my calories burned. It is very fun and makes the time fly by. I only use it M-F days because that is when everyone else is gone. I know alot of people do the wii stuff but we already had a ps2 and can't really afford to change over to a new system. As you also may have already found they do have some that plug and play. Not sure how they work but they seem alittle more limited. Sorry it took so long to get back to you. Peace

When it's too cold for a walk or a snowshoe, I put on a dance mix and just GO!!!!!!! Songs with slower bpm's to warm up and cool down . . . iTunes will even shuffle for you based on that.

Thanks for the tips on the Wii and the Dance Pad....I really like the idea of loading your own music!
I hope eventulally they will have one for the Wii like that....now if the wii's will just land back on shelves!
What all games do you use with Wii Fit, I noticed it being compatible with a couple?

Jack you are doing FANTASTIC!!!! Stay with it. It is soooooooo worth it!!
Oatmeal......I to am one that just cannot eat oatmeal. I have tried and tried and as smlchng says:
No matter what I mix with it...same thing. So, I tend to choose cheerios. Thankfully 2 of my 3 kids eat it no problem. My youngest is a picky eater...like me. Not good.
Working out? Well, ended up taking the weekend off. When everyone is home it is too easy to get busy with them and forget me. I am in process of moving stuff in basement around so I can get my gazelle down here. I always love doing it and right now it is on the back porch which is WAY too cold to be in at this point. Plus, if I get it in the basement I think I will use it more. Today haven't worked out yet. Getting off here and doing it. You all fired me back up. I did 5 days straight and 2 days off. More than I did in the last 4 months so that's something right?
