all i remember is him doing a musical number kinda sitin around a tiki hut with a cast on his leg. he said something about a softball game. that's if i even remember this much correctly.

He is the musical guest. Yes, he has a broken leg. He sings "Son of A Son of A Sailor".

He called that tour The Sliding Into Second Tour. When he sings "I broke my leg twice had to limp on back home" it was because they had to re-break and re-set it. I saw him at San Diego State, Universal Amphitheater (before it was covered), Santa Barbara Bowl and Anaheim Convention Center.
He sat on a stool most of the time. His lead-in act was Livingston Taylor (James Taylor's brother). What a great summer!

This had to have been taped within a few weeks of seeing my first Buffett concert....he still had the cast on.
