What a mess @ the MSC Friday

Post by springparrot »

Morning BNers

There are about 40 vehicles on I40 in Houston stuck because of high water at an underpass. They think some could be people that were at the Astros game.
HFD is sending fire trucks and high water trucks to rescue the people...cars will be towed soon.
What a mess. And this isn't the end of rhis storm.

People, please be safe and stay off the roads.

The storm was suppose to be over about 2am.
It is about 2:01 and thunder just rattled the house. 😳
It is going to be a long night..........

Good morning ladies. It poured here and is still raining. I guide 4th graders at the museum's outside displays this morning. Half will have no rain gear.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Good morning all, and Happy Friday! :)

Dry thoughts to those in the Houston area (((Molly))).

Heading to work a little early. Trying to make up time, instead of using PTO, for my early departure on Tuesday. I'm 15 minutes shy.

Have a great day!!

Good morning. Getting ready to head out for a short road trip. Bob Seger is at the North Charleston Coliseum tonight and I always stay overnight when I go to a concert there so I don't have to drive home after the show. There are a lot of craft brewers in the Mt. Pleasant/Charleston/North Charleston area so maybe I'll stop at a taproom for lunch.

Good morning from The left coast where we are experiencing a typical May Gray month. We may even get a bit of showers today.

We're having a record breaking warm and dry month again... After a record breaking streak of rain last month, we haven't had any rain for a couple of weeks now and it's supposed to be 86° today. We haven't had any "normal" weather yet this year.... we've had warmest, coldest, driest, rainiest, snowiest all year! Be safe out there, wherever you are!

Morning, BN. NOLA had some crazy weather the past week. They had to delay the opening of fest a few times. And we flew through one of the storms on the way there. Fun times. I think it's going take a while to recover from the trip.

Larry, have a good time! I'll be seeing him at JB in 20 days. I'm staying overnight even though the drive home is less than an hour away. Will be heading to Crawfish Fest (NJ) shortly after rush hour ends.

Hope you enjoy some "Old Time Rock n Roll" from the local boy made good.
Saw him during his 2017 farewell tour which was cut very short due to health.
He's got 6 shows back here in Detroit...Aka Pine Knob Music Theatre in June. Alas I have no tickets but I'll be stunned if they're aren't extras floating around at concert time for cheap. Of course risk the danger of fake tix being in the mix as well. Time will tell if I make the move to go or not. [smilie=noeyedear-shrugging.gif]

Afternoon BNers
I don't know when it finally quit storming. I finally dozed some between claps of rolling thunder.
We are having a quiet time. There is suppose to be another round later today.
This is getting old.

The concert isn't until 8:00 so I have time to kill. I think I'll go to Charleston's Toal Wine & More store and check out their beer selection, it's only about 5 miles from the hotel. That's closer than the Myrtle Beach location is to my condo.

Our daughter Bridget and son-in-law Andrew are on their way to Seattle and then Portland for their 2nd anniversary trip. They are hoping for that warm sunny weather.

Hi there! I guided kids this morning and helped an older friend move. He has poor health and could only point to what got moved. He had days to organize and pack, but did NOTHING! He didn't even get boxes to move stuff....Arrrrrrgggghhh!!!! His undisciplined boxer ran through mud then into the light carpeted house. I don't miss having a dog.
