JEOPARDY....James Holzhauer run is over

So for those who are habitual watchers of the show "Jeopardy" the day many thought would not come nearly this soon did indeed arrive. James Holzhauer after 32 consecutive show wins & amassing earnings of over $2.4 million came up short. The interesting thing was mass spoiler alerts released prior to the showing of the taped episode informed us this was going to happen. Even the dang NBC Nightly News chucked it out there. :o :o

I have friends, including my girlfriend, who are regular watchers. So if I happen to be at their places when 7:00 pm EST comes around then I get my dose of Trebek & the 3 contestants whose knowledge in their little pinkies alone far outweighs mine in MOST of the categories that come across the big board.

I probably witnessed 4-5 of the episodes in which Holzhauer dominated. Flat out amazing!

Any regulars out there care to comment about the run now that it's over??

I used to be a regular viewer but since I moved off Long Island I hardly ever watch it. I didn't see any of this guy's shows, but I saw an article online that said he may owe as much as $1.2 million in taxes. :o

Happy for all of his winnings. :D Taxes on winnings s***, but not a surprise for him since he's a poker player.

[smilie=gt-happyup.gif] Always amazes me how people beef about the taxes on big windfalls!
"Ok, let me not win or not get rich off a big Property Sale or whatever large capital gain you get". [smilie=noeyedear-shrugging.gif] Let's see.....win 2.4 mill....pay 1.2 in tax....take home 1.2 to put in bank. I guessssss I could live with that
