Hockey Games On......2019 Lord Stanley's Cup

As we're in the final stretch of the season, tough break for Boston last night.
Penalty non-call led directly to ultimate game winning goal for St. Louis late in last nights game putting the Blues on the brink of their first ever Stanley Cup this coming Sunday night.
Having said that I'm still not counting the Bruins out. Still think their advantage in talent & balance gives them a good shot at coming back in this series. Of course I don't want that to happen (soft spot for seeing the Blues getting their first cup).
This years playoffs has been marred by numerous bad call/non calls that have had direct impact on game & even series outcomes. Too bad thats been the case. Playoff Hockey is such an awesome thing to watch.

I'm rooting for St. Louis too. Not that I'm a fan but because they've never won before. And you're right about the officiating, it's been pretty bad all through the playoffs.

Completely agree about the officiating. It had an impact on the Avalanche games, too. I cringe watching the poor calls. I'm rooting for the Blues, too. Wanna see them, and the city, get the win. (And personally, I'm tired of Boston teams).

Go Bruins. Not a Patriots or Celtics fan. For MA teams I'll root for the Bruins ( Since the Whalers moved) and Red Sox ( Unless playing the Mets).

I don't want to jinx them, but the Blues are 12 minutes away from their first Stanley Cup. Binnington is playing a great game.

Congrats to the Blues. I thought the 2nd half of the season , they were the best team in the west. There Goalie made some awesome saves in the 1st period , that set the tone. Great season by the Bruins . Even though Tampa was the better team in the East.

Last night was the perfect example of how in a winner take all situation a goaltender can steal a championship for you...

I'm also a diehard fan of both the Bruins and Red Sox but not the other two major Boston area pro teams. Still have the picture on my wall of Buffett wearing the Bruins shirt at the Mansfield show 8 years ago after they won the SC (if they had won it this year I doubt he would've done that again because this year's show there isn't until August.) It was really tough to lose Game 7 at home especially since they played well enough in the first period to actually be up two goals instead of down two, and also because this was realistically the last chance for the older veterans Chara, Marchand and Bergeron to win a second SC. It would've been nice to win one on home ice too. But they still won two thrilling series against a very good Toronto team the past two years and were Eastern conference champs TY.
