I've been a hardcore parrothead for 12 years now and started counting how many people I have converted into parrotheads. Since 1990, I have either converted or at least taken 31 people to experience the madness. I am most proud of my 85 year old grandmother! One day she started singing Tin Cup Chalice and I about fell over! Little did I know she went out and bought the box set! What about you??
Tonight I just need my guitar

Well I haven't managed to convert anyone yet.
For some reason people in my age group (i'm 20) stop listening when you metion the name Jimmy Buffett. My friends are kinda like just turn on the radio when their in my car.
But, hey I'll convert them eventually.

Well I have only converted 1 person, but have directed 3 Ph's that were semi-Heads, and turned them into full blooded PH's. Or at least I like to take credit for that.

We ask ourselves when we get in a fix,
what would Popeye do in a tight spot like this?
He'd race to his true love and easily win it, in a all spinach can with a mast stuck in it!

I'm not sure I have converted anyone yet. Last year I took 2 PH virgins to the Camden show and they had a great time. They can't make it this year - she is due on 7/15, but who knows. I am taking 4 PH virgins this year, so we will see what transpires. I have been a die-hard PH since 96 and have been to 19 concerts. This summer will see 4 more shows - can't wait.

Just two, but they were important, my Dad and my wife (although my wife was very reluctant, fortunately the lyrics won her over).
I've given away about a dozen CDs (real live CDs, not burns) to no effect. I don't get it. Ya can lead a parrot to water...
I'd love to take friends to a show, but I can never get tickets for my own self, let alone an entourage of non-believers.

I volunteered to direct a production for the local youth center. The whole show had an island theme - it was filled with Buffett music. There were 70 kids involved, add the audience, parents and siblings. I’d say I converted over 150 parrot heads in that one event. It was a blast!

So far I have converted eight with a couple more in the works. Most importantly I have converted my Dad, my brother and my four best friends. The last couple years I have taken over 10 Buffett concert virgins to experience the Phrenzy!
As my late 20-something crowd ages, they are slowly beginning to appreciate what I have been telling them about Buffett for years. I have made my own "Best of Buffett" discs and anyone who rides in my vehicle has no choice but to listen to Bubba. Usually by the end of the ride, they are bugging me to make them a copy.
It's only a matter of time until my conversion numbers are in the 20 to 30 range.

- Location: Orlando, and mad im not seeing JB on his Florida swing.
ok maybe im different.
ive taken some PH virgins to shows, margaritaville, key west all the places thatll help you become a parrothead...and they may enjoy all that, but really to be a true parrothead its something you need to discover yourself to a certain extent i think. my EX had been to shows, but she never really got it. she might call herself a parrothead but you know what? no.
i guess im not a PH missionary. but is that a bad thing?
