I would be there, but I'll already be in Dublin. So glad that you will be able to attend this concert. :D

Flying from Halifax to St. John’s on the 16th, back to Halifax on the 18th, and from Halifax to Dublin on the 19th.
Dublin back to Halifax on the 24th.
Did you get all that? 😁

That would be ST. JOHN, V.I. (Just like the St. John, New Brunswick). The one in Newfoundland is St. John’s.
I always hoped he’d do a concert in Nova Scotia, considering that’s where his ancestors are from (and mine- on my father’s side). :D
And considering that’s where I’ll be just before and after going to Dublin.
(Pretty greedy for a parrothead, right-?)

I understand, Linda. I’ve been hoping for over 30 years he’d do a concert on MY birthday.
I’ll no doubt be waiting for at least another 30 years.

I've been to 1 Buffett concert on my birthday, it was the first time I ever traveled out of NY to see him. Las Vegas, 4/15/2000.

I just bought my plane ticket for Dublin last week but when I saw this, just for laughs, I looked into changing my flight to fit this show in before going to Dublin. I can get to St. John's pretty easily and getting home from Dublin is a breeze. Delta and American, the 2 airlines I fly most often, have no flights from St. John's to Dublin the day I would have to be in the air. I searched on Kayak.com and found some flights but they all have 2 or 3 connections and some of the layovers are 10+ hours. No thanks.

The one in New Brunswick is Saint John.(Just like Saint Barths) lol. I am hoping for a concert in Calgary (home of the oldest Canadian PH club)

Thanks. I landed in Newfoundland about two hours ago with one of my Nova Scotia cousins. We’re having dinner at a vegan restaurant. (Yes, I said vegan- :D ). Concert is tomorrow (Tuesday). It’s tough getting used to the half hour time difference between here and Nova Scotia. A half hour?
W.T.H.!!!

Enjoy the show and, um, food? [smilie=cheeky-grin.gif]
How's the weather there?

Cloudy, light winds, just under 50 degrees. Typical for this time of year in the early morning. Forecast high for today is around 55 degrees.
I have to keep referring to my conversion table, because Canada is on the metric system and temperature is measured in celcius.
So when the weather channel girl with her perfect little curl says today’s temperature will be 13 degrees, there’s no cause for panic. :D

Just to set the record straight... Jimmy's grandfather (the Sailor in SOASOAS and the Captain in TCATK) did live in Nova Scotia as a young man, but he was born and reared in Rose Blanche, in what was then the British Colony of Newfoundland. Jimmy still has many 2nd cousins living there (I have met a few of them), and there are more people with the surname Buffett per square kilometre living on the island of Newfoundland than anywhere else in the world, with the possible exception of Norfolk Island.
