This was the first year I didn't get tix from ticketmaster and when I went looking for tix, tix exchange, ebay, I was p***ed, but with JB playing limited schedules, if you want to play, you got to pay. Any way, I still paid less than what bands like the Eagle's charged for tix.

Beachbruce,
I would pass on that year's show faced with the possibility of paying a scalpers prices. I have already done that. What has always worked for me when we have a large group going to the show, is to have as many of those people going to be at the ticket window early in the morning to get better chances when the lottery is drawn.
But it really goes to what is your breaking point? At what point do you say this is too expensive? The nation's largest sporting event, the Super Bowl, is a perfect example. People are paying thousands of dollars to see a friggin football game. Now the prices would not go that high if there was not someone willing to pay that price. Just check out Ebay in January and see what Super Bowl tix go for. And this is all excepted practice.
I am fairly new at this forum, but I'm starting to get the idea that this topic has been hashed and rehashed many times. This has got to be a tired topic.
Now that I think about it, if someone offered me a price I can't refuse for my Buffett tix, he can have them. I accept Paypal! HA HA!
