Do not understand an indoor venue in the dead of summer. :-?
The only way I can think to justify it is that that weekend is notorious for either bad storms, or intense heat waves.

Other than that, I've got nothing

An indoor venue in a not so great part of the city that more than likely will not allow tailgating. Just a terrible decision.

We always have Vegas. Please announce that show.

very disappointing. Skipping wrigley, tinley park, northerly and bridgeview for an indoor venue. I'll probably be voluntarily skipping this one for the first time in 15 years.

Wonder if there are any chances of a late summer alpine show perhaps 8/29??

Due to the contracts and territorial mileage associated with them, it would either be an early June or late August show at Alpine
if Jimmy is going there. I would be banking on late August if it happens. But honestly it isn't looking to good at this point.

Unfortunately I think this is the tour we get this year. With a few extra shows added in October

Maybe he'll do a Alpine/Detroit/Cleveland or St. Louis run in June.........he said with fingers crossed

Sad that Alpine chances seem slim. No reason for a summer show at the UC.

Tinley Park where Jimmy plays most often is Chicago is booked that night

The only problem with that is that Jimmy has not announced a show in Atlanta, Orange Beach, or Virginia Beach yet either

Yup...that is the reality. I'm sure Hotlanta will get a show...& some other Southeastern shows will follow.
If I'm a betting man I'm wagering Detroit gets skipped. But one can hope............

Alpine has added a second RATM show on Saturday 7/11

It is such a shame the Alpine seems very unlikely this year for Jimmy.

I'm not feeling confident about it - but going back to recent history when Jimmy still played Tinley (and even Bridgeview), they would typically hold off on announcing Alpine until Chicago tickets had a chance to sell first. I remember most years we'd get a Tinley date and then not know about Alpine until as late as April. So, fingers crossed. But then again, who knows if there's a contract clause with the United Center that blocks him from playing Alpine like Wrigley Field did.

There was one time in the past ten years when Alpine was announced like mid-May.

I think back in the past when he played Illinois and Alpine Valley the show dates were one early summer, one late summer. I think the United Center (stupid idea) being on July 18th sort of eliminates playing Alpine Valley in mid-late August.
"the war's over man, Jimmy dropped the big one"

We hope to run into some Alpine pilgrims at Indy.

The coronavirus might make the whole summer concert season a moot point.......

RATM has rescheduled their Alpine show to 7/10/2021

So we can cross that day off for Jimmy next year!

Atleast we know Alpine will be open in 2021!!!

With the United Center likely being pushed to 2021 then that puts alpine in the same situation as this year. Hoping for a flat out cancellation of the UC one.

It was not rescheduled. Based on the way they have the tour set up... leaves me to believe that he may play Alpine 7/17/2021

Guess the Coronavirus did solve the "no Alpine show" issue. Glad to see that the date for the United Center show was not rescheduled for 2021. Back to Alpine Valley in 2021, please.
