Alpine Valley 2020

Alpine just announced its first show of the 2020 season...Journey/The Pretenders, on June 6th. So two things, first the venue is OPEN next year...wahoo! And secondly, Jimmy's date won't be June 6th so that can be crossed off the bingo calendar.

Yeah, the Journey/Pretenders shows are being announced all over.
Got the email promoting the local show here in Michigan. We get day after Independence Day!

While I would love an Alpine show next year, I can't help but be a little skeptical on if we are going to actually get a show or not.
With Jimmy having shoulder surgery, who knows how many, if any, shows are getting played next summer

I believe last year a miracle occurred and the Alpine show was announced on January 3rd! Fingers crossed this year the announcement will be just as early!

I have good resources that some shows will be announced early January. May or may not be Alpine but look out east.

What do your sources say about Alpine in general?
Would hate to have to go to Chicago to see a show

As some dates get announced I wouldn't be surprised if Alpine is Sat July 18th.
That would surely be better than going back to the late August shows

We could always still get Alpine in June. That would be interesting. Hard to guess though since no other shows have been announced at Alpine since Journey.
But you know Alpine wouldn't open for a whole season for just one concert

I have a deep fear since no other shows (i.e. KISS, Ozzy, etc) picked Alpine that perhaps if they can't get more acts there it might be easier to cancel Journey rather than open for a one show season.
Oh no....
At least no Chicago area date has been announced.

Also no Detroit or Cincy show announced.
Plus, Indy got a Saturday.
I hope they are open, but a lot of venues have booked shows.

While completely possible, I can't see Alpine willing to announce the one show with the possibility of cancellation if they didn't have any other concerts open.
But anything is possible

All I know is if we get saddled with Wrigley again Iām just going to Indi instead. Wrigley is ruining live music.
