Best Buffett Song for a Funeral Service

Post by wanderingtoes »

I’ve been asked for some ideas on songs that would be suitable for a funeral service. Any suggestions would be appreciated. The person is a true PH so the family knows he would appreciate the thought.

My first reaction was Lovely Cruise but perhaps there are others that would be nice.

He Went To Paris is the first one that comes to mind as being the best fit lyrically. The last line of the last verse pretty much says it all. O.P.H. has lyrics about reminiscing about the great times in one's life in the middle bridge section of the song "But then I think about the good times..." and then of course it ends with "...and I finally disappear" so that could work well also, although maybe a bit too upbeat for that occasion. But that's probably the one I would choose for my own (if I could choose in advance)- OPH.
