HAPPY NEW YEAR! @ the MSC
Good morning BN.
I can see clearly now, since I finally see 2020.
There, I've worn that line out.
Enjoy your day, pholks.

If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Good Morning Bill and all BNers !
The house will soon start to look naked as we pack up the Christmas decorations for another year. I'll replace them with snowmen but that's a much smaller group.

Good morning Andrea and Linda. I have my first carved snowman. I made it for my mom in 99. The hat and carrot nose are part of the original wood block, which meant a LOT of carving. Your Santa ,Linda, had all parts carved separately and added.

Good morning, and Happy New Year - Bill, Linda, Andrea, and Deb!!
We slept in until 8:30 here!!
Cameron is making sausage, hash browns, and waffles. (I got him a new waffle maker for Christmas).
Nothing on the agenda today except MAYBE a load of laundry. And tacos for dinner.
Our decorations don't come down for a bit yet. It's a Denver Tradition that people keep their decorations up until the National Western Stock Show starts, welcoming everyone from out of town.

Happy Y2.2K! It was too windy for them to set off the Space Needle fireworks at midnight last night so they said maybe they'd do it at 2:00 am but it was still too windy so then they said maybe 7:00 pm tonight (or maybe not....) Not exactly precision planning when they wire that thing up with tons of explosives!

I know the voices in my head aren't real, but sometimes they have really good ideas....

Re: HAPPY NEW YEAR! @ the MSC
Not much excitement at Ringville today.
I went to the gym. It was the Emptiest I’ve seen in awhile.
Then I cleaned the top of the fridge (because the kitchen Christmas decorations are stored in the cabinet above). Then moved on to the powder room. Figure as I defrock I might as well do a deep clean.
Kevin is upstairs in the office playing one of his various 11 instruments. I’ve got the Rose Parade in as I mosey around the 1st floor.

Happy New Year!!!
What a gloomy day to start out the year.
Would love to see the sun but not today. Makes me want to go back to bed....

I've heard a few different reasons. Here's a link that has a pretty good explanation.springparrot wrote: ↑January 1, 2020 2:43 pmWhat is the tradition with cabbage?Saltx3 wrote: ↑January 1, 2020 12:51 pmKevins family makes halupkies (looks like your). Happy New Year to all. I hope 2020 is everyone’s best year yet, and hope you all cherish your blessings- family, home, health, a promising future, and the fact there are so many people in your circle whom you are a hero to, whether you know it or not.
Thank you for all of you being MY heroes.
A blessed 2020 to everyone.
