I already have a trip back to Long Island planned for September so this will be the third year in a row I'll be skipping Jones Beach. That hasn't happened since 1990, '91 and '92. Oh well.

Come on, make the drive up. Myrtle Beach will be too crowded that week with little league tournaments anyway

Has anyone ever bought the VIP parking pass? Is it worth it? Is it in Lot 5? Ticketmaster wants $150 for it, when a regular pass is $10

This is my own personal opinion.
If you want to enjoy the show START OUT OF VIP...... it is off to the side and its just tables, chairs and expensive concession stands.
You will not hear or see well.
If your out with friends for a laid back night with a few beers and a large screen go for it.
I have a relative who gets me into VIP..... I only go if it's a show I don't care about.
Last year my party of 12 all said, I'D RATHER SIT UPSTAIRS than VIP

Yeah were good for seats, I'm just on the fence about the Premier Parking. If it gets us into Field 5 I'm in, but if its the lot directly in front of the Amphitheater I'm not sure if it's worth the $125 or just hit the field 4/5 depending on what time we get there.

I've been told I. The past that lot 5 closed at 715am......ofc things can change from year to year.
I'm. Too old for the 3am start. I'm sending the kids this year. I'll get there at 7 and walk a mile if I have to

So Field 5 is the large parking lot just south of the venue? And I have to get in line at WHAT time to get a spot?

Field 5: Lot closest to venue. Biggest partying lot. People get in line around 3am. Opens at 6 I think? Fills up very fast. Last year it was completely full and blocked off within an hour or so.
Field 4: Next to Field 5. Slightly longer walk to venue. There's a walkway that will take you from 4 to 5. This lot won't fill until later in afternoon usually. Lot of people park in 4 and walk over to 5.

Yes lot 5 is basically the one you want to be in. Where we park you can walk through the underpass to the beach
As you can see at 450am we were in line, 1.6 miles long, from the entrance.
The lot picture was taken at 707am
