Jones Beach is a state park so you're not supposed to have any alcohol. Pour your drinks in a cup and you shouldn't have any trouble.

It used to be $10 to park but I haven't been back to Long Island since 2017 so it might be more expensive now.

The theater is on the bay side of the beach. There's a pedestrian tunnel under the parkway to the ocean side if you want to take a break from tailgating.

The fight has already begun.... I'm way too old to be getting up at 2am to get there at 3am so we can enter the lot at 5am just to get our favorite spot. Gf, just shut up and be ready to go... Ugggggh... Lol

I don't think we pay for parking, maybe something small like $10. Don't be squirting alcohol into cops or security faces, don't be part of the 'party until you puke' 16 year olds that do show up and no one will bother you.

It's one of the better parking lot tailgates.
I can't lie, my kids (early 20s) come for the party more than the music, but they were raised on it so they do respect the "meaning" of the day.

Bring a crowd, have a great time. Ask more questions if you need to

I'm coming back to Long Island this year but in October, not next month for JB@JB. My 50th high school reunion was supposed to be last year but like everything else it was cancelled so they're having a 51st reunion instead.

3 am is early for us too. But can I assume the BNers will be in lot 5? It’s a big place, from what I remember going as a kid.
