I was in San Antonio once, probably 15 years ago. The Alamo was not as impressive as I thought it would be.

I was listening to Radio Margaritaville in the car and JD said the Oklahoma City show was December 15, not October. Now that I'm home again, I checked TM and it's October 15. No onsale date listed yet. San Antonio is onsale January 31.

This isn't going to last much longer. I'd like to hit a couple of shows in places I've never been. And San Antonio is one of them.

I've never been to Oklahoma.
Well I never been to heaven
But I been to Oklahoma
Well they tell me I was born there
But I really don't remember
In Oklahoma, not Arizona
What does it matter
What does it matter
Well I never been to Spain
But I kinda like the music
Say the ladies are insane there…

Man, I just don’t understand the San Antonio show. It is sandwiched between two big Saturday shows in Houston and Dallas that were announced almost two months ago. All the Parrotheads that might go to SA are already going to Houston or Dallas.
I live in Corpus Christi and San Antonio is a lot closer than The Woodlands, but I’m going to The Woodlands. It’s outdoors and on a Saturday.
I could see an indoor San Antonio show working later this Fall or Winter, but not in May.
Heck, why not even the Austin 360 Amphitheater?
AT&T Center = Fins Down. |/

According to the setlist database, he's never played San Antonio. There are 2 shows listed for Oklahoma City, 1986 & '87. There's also a show listed for "Oaklahoma" City in 1990, so I guess he's been there 3 times.

I think it might have to do with seating capacity at the venue which is 19000 for a concert at the AT&T Center verses 14000 at Austin 360 Amphitheater.
Adding up the capacity of the three Texas venues announced so far the total is 55,500 that will make this one of Jimmy's biggest swings through Texas.
With Jimmy promoting a new album for the first time in 7 years he is no doubt expecting big turn outs to hear new tunes.

Isn't on the bucket list Larry? Would say you could stay with Tammy and me, but I have to warn you , no Hooters in the parking lot.

I would like to go to this show, it would check another state off the list as I continue my quest to visit all 50 of them. But it's 9 months away and it's a month after an already planned trip back to Long Island. My travel budget isn't what it was when I still had a job.

I was asking what is was like to tailgate there but I guess that really can't be answered since Jimmy has never played at the Chesapeake Energy Arena.
