While Sunday Feb 9 is the actual National Pizza Day I've noticed a couple area pizzerias are actually running a promo in conjunction with National Pizza Day wherein they're offering discounts for the entire weekend! If Pizza doesn't make the top 10 in most pholks food list I don't know what to say. It screams comfort food to me
A dose of real winter has finally settled here in our area of the Mitten. Snow on the ground & it looks like its sticking for awhile. But, still not full boar winter conditions. And thats fine by me!!

Snow FINALLY stopped this morning. Sun is out, and I heard a few drips of melting already. The weather guessers said 2-6", we got about 9".

Taking the car up the to get new tires today. There's only 40K miles on them, but they're 4 1/2 years old, and weren't the best when I got the car.

Otherwise we're just doing stuff, probably a visit with Mom today, as they're calling for more snow tomorrow.

Well whatya know. Key still works after all this time.

Wednesday it was 70 degrees. This morning when I woke up it was 40 and it's only about 43 or 44 now. It's supposed to be 70 again by Monday. Is Mother Nature's name Sybil?

Good evening. I took my granddaughter to the Old Sled Works in Duncannon, PA. It's an old factory where the used to make
Lighting Guider snow sleds. It's now an antique flea market. They have old pinball machine machines that you can play. They
also have a 1950's soda fountain that is open on Saturdays and Sundays. I had a root beer float and she had a Coke float.
She loved it. Now I gotta take my grandson there.

Evening, peeps. Crazy cold and icy in Vacationland this weekend. But sunset is later every day.

There's a hockey game on tonight but the Hurricanes are playing the Golden Knights in Las Vegas so it doesn't start until 10:00 eastern time. Maybe I'll have a beer now instead of waiting until the game's on.

Hi there! Our big day out was to a salad bar and Bath n body works. Anne bought gifts for cabin Fever, then I cut BIG letters for the Mardi Gras theme at Cabin Fever. Messages were exchanged about summer plans and I heard from an old friend.

Life is good.

That would never be a day that E and I had together.

I got new tires, new windshield wipers, front end alignment not needed, and a refill of my windshield wiper fluid, and a bunch of other things checked, and were fine. Only the second time in my life I bought tires.

Wasn't planning on celebrating Pizza Day, but we went to an Italian place close to home. YUM!!



And yesterday's snow? SO much of it melted today with the Colorado sunshine. It was near 60 today.
