I can't understand Boston. I was at a game at Fenway, and the fans started chanting Yankees s***. The only problem was that they were playing Baltimore.

ps. Fenway Park is a dump, they need to take a wrecking ball to the place.

drmutt-

It's actually very simple... they are obsessed with the Yankees up here!

I have even heard that chant quite frequently at suburban High School HOCKEY games.

Yep, that's the good old Red Sox fans. I'm a Yankee fan now living in the Boston area. I tell my Boston friends that this shows how idiotic some Red Sox fans are..chanting it when not playing the Yankees, chanting it at Billy Joel/Elton John concert when Billy Joel was leading into New York State of Mind, and so on and so on.

It 's the inferiority complex. Boston is not as important in New York in the grand scheme of things in the world. What gets me is they chant it, even if the Soxs are trailing NY in the standings..so if the Yankees s***, but they are ahead of the Sox, what do the Sox do?
