Today is Q day 50.
50 days since I have been in the public. 50 days since I have seen a human that wasn't living in this house.
50 days since I have been off our property....house, driveway, backyard.
Wow

I landed back on March 12th, and haven't been back to work since.......in the sense of traveling.....I haven't spend any more than 3 weeks at home in the last 25 years.....can't wait to get back out there.

Wow, talk about doing your part to flatten the curve. Before I went back to work I had been to the grocery a handful of times, since I went back to work I went to one store to look for a thermometer when I was sick. Bryan has been doing the shopping.

I'm in that target group, age, asthma, etc. Larry has done some curbside. If we needed alot, Ryan would go stock up and then shower afterwards.
Might need to break my quarentee Wed. Have an eye appt but going to try to put it off.

My major issue is I have an autoimmune disease and diabetes. My age is just on the cusp... some say 60 some say 65 and I'm 60.5...

I know it was stupid, but I just sat down to start the work day and looked at the wall calendar.

Today is the beginning of week 7 working from home. I am not missing the commute but I do miss wandering the food courts at lunch time :)

Our office is in the Sydney CBD right next to two large shopping centres that have enormous food courts, plus we are right next to Chinatown, Koreatown, a Japanese area and a Spanish quarter.

Too little choice is not the problem, unlike the Navy base I worked on until a couple of months before the isolation kicked in.

Today I get to have an outside adventure. I need to visit the pharmacy. (It is a strangely exciting prospect!)

I just came back from my daily stroll around the neighborhood, our postal person was delivering mail. On Sunday. :o

I should have checked the weather before I went out, it's 80 degrees and humid. Maybe I should have a beer.

I'm in the same boat, day 51 for me. We were in Hawaii when the bug hit the fan... got home on Friday (the 13th) evening and haven't left the house since (other than to mow the lawn a few times.) Because of my age (70 in 4 weeks) and existing health risk factors, my retired RN wife won't let me go anywhere. She's ventured out once a week to go grocery shopping, but that's it.

Everybody be safe!

Can I say that I am pleased to hear the good folk who visit the MSC are taking this thing seriously? The news seems to be full of stories about people, governments and red-neck protesters who aren't. Here in Rabbitzland ( :) ) we jumped on country wide restrictions and border closures pretty quickly. Our infection rate is now <1. This means we are able to start some minor reductions in the restrictions, with the caveat that if the rate rises the full restrictions come back into force.

The news from the US seems less positive. Still a high infection rate and a high death rate (actually any death rate is a high rate if you ask me). So talk of lifting restriction over there fills me with dread.

The Queen Victoria Building (or QVB) food court connects with the food courts for at least two other centres. All underground. It would be a perfect solution if our winters were cold enough! It is a relief to stay underground in the heat too.

The building is gorgeous - why can't we build stuff like that these days?

I imagine you didn't experience it but in the gents on the second floor the urinals are these ornate, free-standing, cast-iron, turn-of-the-last-century wonders. Such opulence in a public bathroom :)

We visited the QVB food court several times. I think I remember the urinals.

I can't quite believe it but there are photo's of the urinals on the interwebs...

Hello all! It’s amazing how fast the day goes. Watched our online church service. Them headed to sons house. Well his yard. To drop off a patio table and chairs we snagged for free from someone on our nextdoor app.

Home for lunch then replaced the Upper deck rope lights That we apparently rattled loose when we scrubbed the deck a few weeks back.

I took my daily 2 mile walk and am now Enjoying a 5 O’clock brewery IPA. Dinner will be a take out pizza which we haven’t done for probably 5 yrs.

Tomorrow is my weekly go to the courthouse day.

Other than work one day a week and my walks The only thing I’ve left the house for is weekly grocery shopping.

Mild issue today. Was walking in the front yard and stepped into a spot which brought water up over my shoe. Somewhat "Smelly" water at that at is very close as to where my septic field starts. I took a shovel and started digging which produced even more water, and smell. Was really thinking the worst, but eventually found a sprinkler head which was buried underground, and not popping up over the surface (JUST TO BE KNOWN, I HATE WORKING ON SPRINKLERS). i took my shop vac and got rid of the standing water, only to watch it refill from one direction which luckily was away from the septic field.....did finally found (ANOTHER F@%K!N) broken sprinkler pipe.......

Hi there! A wonderful warm day of fishing was cut short with a dead battery. Back home, I started mowing. My little rider DIED.
No way would it start. I drove 5 miles to get my utility trailer out of storage and dragged the mower onto the trailer. Tomorrow I'll tow it 15 miles to the dealer where I'll probably have to leave it. I have stuff I need to haul away and I'll have the trailer handy.

There was a report on the 6:00 news that the South Carolina Brewers Guild is estimating 80% of the brewers in the state could go out of business. I've been doing my part to help keep them going but there's only so much one person can do.

Your luck Larry, Landshark would be the only beer to survive.
