Just seen on the news that MLB is proposing playing baseball this season with a bunch of "Rules". One being that if the baseball is touched by more than one person, that is thrown away and new ball is used.
So, the pitcher throws the ball. The catcher catches it. Umpire yells, Strike One!!! He then bends down and tells the catcher, "Hey Joe (the catchers name is Joe), both the pitcher and you touched the ball, give me that". The umpire takes the ball and throws it into the trash can which has now been installed behind him to collect the balls which now may be infected.
He takes a new ball out of his pocket, and hands it Joe who is supposed to throw it back to the pitcher. Before doing such, the umpire bends down again and says, "Hey Joe, both you and I touched that ball, give me that"......
The game never gets past the opening pitch.......
If all players are tested before the game.....why can't they just play baseball......

Good Morning BN Nation! Who knows how sports is going to shape up this coming year, obviously beginning with the National Pastime.
