For what it's worth.... Peter Mayer is playing in Milwaukee on July 22nd... not sure if that means anything or not but definitely worth something to keep in mind!

Oh, I've seen fire and I've seen rain.....
Speaking just for myself, as a 60-year-plus Wisconsin native, I'd hate to see an Alpine Valley concert scheduled in September
(although if it's that or nothing, then I suppose.... ) Granted, it's not the norm, but I remember the Alpine Valley stop in 2009 on the last weekend of August when the temperature dropped, the rain came in, and there were confirmed reports of snow flurries in the air. Fortunately it didn't accumulate, but you KNOW it's cold and nasty when Jimmy comes out after the intermission wearing a hoodie!
Now — get into September, add a couple more weeks, and it's not at all outside the realm of possibility that you could run into a similar situation. Hell, I've done bike rides in mid/late September where I had to wear a jacket over a long-sleeve jersey, tights, full-finger gloves, and a stocking hat under my helmet!!
Jimmy + Alpine Valley .... best used before Aug 31st.

Alpine 2016 was a Labor Day Weekend show. Weather was really nice, but it a little cooler by the end of the set.
Logistically, I don’t think think LiveNation would put a show on sale at a 40,000 seat venue with less than two months to sell tickets. Right now the only show announced for Alpine is RATM next July.
I think it’s more likely that we see a one-off club show in Milwaukee/Chicago like we did a few years ago when he was hitting House of Blues in Chicago and I think Boston.
