I am not sure who to ask regarding the 1996 and 1997 shows, as for the 2002 show it might at some point end up on Radio Margaritaville as concert replay if they have a usable copy. If someone has any or all three of those shows they should contact Sunlover as he will do the uploading of those shows.

As I have already said the 1996 and 1997 shows were before Radio Margaritaville began live streaming of Jimmy's shows. So copies if they exist would likely come from someone who recorded the show from the audience

Moog does not own on a server or website that I know of he just has is own collection of concert recordings from RM.

Here is a little history lesson for you:

Radio Margaritaville launched in the late 1990's and began live streaming of Jimmy's shows on March 4, 1999 with Jimmy's show at the then brand new Margaritaville Cafe in Orlando Florida.

From that night forward RM as audio streamed almost all of Jimmy's shows live, exceptions have been shows outside the US and special private or benefit performances given by Jimmy.

At the time RM began audio streaming of Jimmy's live shows the majority of listeners were using dial up connections to get online. RM was offering their audio streams at two different download speeds 32k and 56k. Listening to shows back then could be quite the adventure between the limited download speeds offered by RM and the limited speed of dial up internet connections at the time. On the other end of things were the internet connections at the various venues Jimmy performs at, they were not state of the art and as a result there could often be issues with the quality of the broadcast streams. Some venues were better than others with the connections.

One of the biggest issues would be drop outs during the stream when the stream would stop for brief period of time. This quite often resulted in parts of songs or even entire songs being missed online while the show continued, live at the venue.

During this time recording the shows was being done by a lot of people by way of using an audio recording software to capture or record the live streams. Due to the connection issues I have already mentioned above, the resulting recording were sometimes poor at best. Between the live streams and Radio Margaritaville's Concert Replays fans have been able to build their own concert collections. This is what Moog means by his copies of shows.

Everything changed in terms of quality with the advent of cable internet and Jimmy inking a deal to add Radio Margaritaville to Sirius/XM Radio in 2005. Once this happened the quality of the online streams of RM was improved dramatically. Sunlover began capturing and uploading shows a short time later via a fiber optic internet connection. He also began monitoring the RM Concert Replays for older shows in order to upgrade the lower quality recordings on the server.

Sunlover has upgraded a number of shows since he began capturing and uploading shows back in 2007/2008.

It sounds like moog was recording the live stream of the 2002 Jones Beach show and based on what he said there were issue with the streaming from the venue that night.
