The last time I went to Jacksonville was 4 months after I moved to Myrtle Beach. I drove and on the way there I got my first, and still only, speeding ticket. I had lunch at the Hooters in Jacksonville Landing before I came home. There were more employees than customers in the place and it was the worst service I've ever had at Hooters. Stranger things have happened, but I don't think I'll be back in Jacksonville.

Jacksonville Landing is gone.. This would be the one I'd go to but nope. Last Jimmy show I went to at Jones beach was a free for all in the parking lot and in the seats. Only place I see shows now is at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre..

My last Jacksonville show was sometime in the mid 90's. Don't think I'll be going this year.

well... it is nice to look at when you drive past it on I95 when your driving someplace else..
The problem with Jax as a city is it is so close to the beaches that there is no night life after work.. at 5pm it's a ghost town.

Seriously, The Landing is gone? Went to the Worlds Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party there in 2004. Saw Georgia stop Florida's big winning streak. Had a helluva time. Surprised I survived it....but.....seemed pretty cool at the time.

It was mostly empty, then they had the shooting during a gamer tournament and that was the last straw.. it's grass now.. The cocktail party is held in the TIAA bank parking lot, they open it up the Monday before the game to let the campers in
