How can that be? Do you also not like Christmas?

Christmas and fruit cake are symbiotic here in Oz, so much so that the dark, booze fortified (read that as booze-soaked) version is referred to as Christmas Cake.

Well the week is done, so on to the weekend slavery; yards to be done, garage to be rearranged again, vacuuming, clearing the outside of the house of spider webs, etc. It will also be enlivened by Christmas shopping, and some storms later but hot before that low to mid 90's they are saying.

I'm not Polish and I'm not part of the family that started Post cereal. Although C.W. Post College on Long Island is named for one of the Posts and the campus is on land that used to be his estate.

Pretty day here. You never know what you will get!

Fruitcake?? Not usually a fan but it delends what is in it. My MIL's friend used to make one that was very tasty...not much candied fruit but lots of nuts. Yum.

Hi there! My nephew stopped yesterday and showed me a phone app that was a GPS and Platt book(property borders). He pulled up the detail to show a dot where we stood in my driveway. It also showed my small lot. I inherited my grandma's home and guessed where the borders were. According to the app, my neighbor has a large travel trailer, flat bed trailer and a junk truck on my land.

He won't be happy with this app.

Coastal Carolina's last home football game of the season is tomorrow. They're undefeated, 8-0, and are ranked #18 in the country. They're playing Brigham Young University, they're 9-0, and ESPN's College Game Day is in town. I'm watching the 5:00 news and one of the co-anchors, the sports reporter and 2 other reporters are on campus. Kickoff isn't until 5:00 tomorrow.

There's a liquor store in Pawleys Island, about 12-13 miles south of here, that has a pretty good craft beer selection. They have kegs but I don't think that's very common in the Myrtle Beach area. They have another location in MB that sells beer but only cans and bottles, no kegs or even growlers.

In college, I did a HE!! of a keg carry. I was 19 years old and weighed 155 lb when I rolled a half keg out of a car trunk and shouldered it for a three story climb. I lost my balance on the last step. Real Doug was directly behind me on the stairs and stuck his arms up, stopping my tumble. That keg would have flattened him.
