Good morning BN. I remarked I like fruitcake and my phriend jePH sent me one. It's a top quality brand, used as a fund raiser. The sweet stuff is a stple of old holiday treats. Anyone else like it?

Not sure I ever had one.....

For me, it depends on what's in the fruitcake. I've tried different variations, some I like, some not so much.

Yep, I like them. My Dad LOVED them. I would get him one every year at Christmas. My SIL just made one for our visit, and she did a great job. YUM!

Happy Phriday Pholks. I like fruit cake. I've only made it once. My recipe is time consuming... brushing it with rum every day for over a week! I made it back when my girls were little and I was a stay at home mom.

Fruitcake? No bueno.

Like some, I can't recall ever having fruitcake growing up, but of course the negative stigma attached to them gives you pause. Using common sense though it's of course foolish to "knock it if you haven't tried it".
I guess I'll cue up Jimmy's Fruitcake & have a serving of that for the time being!

Today's forecast was for rain, heavy at times, and possibly strong thunderstorms with wind gusts as high as 40 mph. It was a beautiful sunny morning but now it's getting very overcast and I've heard a few rumbles of thunder. I was going to wait until tomorrow to do laundry, maybe I'll do it now instead.

Make sure you don't send that rain to Savannah. We are actually having a beautiful day for once, I just wish the weather wouldn't be so damn bi-polar.
