South Carolina is supposed to get its first batch of the vaccine in the next week or 2. "Frontline workers" - hospital employees, first responders - are first in line to get vaccinated. Once it becomes available to the general public I'll get it if for no other reason than I'm in the high risk group because of my age. I have no underlying health issues but I'm way more than middle aged, I'm on the downhill side of the mountain of life.

We probably will get vaccinated. As long as we aren't going out, there isn't a rush. After they came out with allergy problems, I will talk to my Dr first. I don't think I have those allergies but will double check.

Give me a shot in the ass, or where ever they plan on putting it, along with a cold beer.

In this household we've had to have five tests so far - that would add up.

As a part of the (pretty successful) battle against the virus we have been encouraged to get tested whenever we suffer from any of the symptoms - contrary to the opinions of some - more testing means more cases are found and more protection can be offered. To ensure people can and will get tested the tests must be free.

Interestingly the state governments (who are running the programs) put out news stories and announcements whenever testing rates start to drop off.

This is one advantage of socialized or universal healthcare. (Even apart from the helping the poor and disadvantaged thing).
I think if you have symptoms or a dr referral, you can get it free? Since I was testing just to make sure I wasn't carrying around a dark passenger with me before I saw my family for Thanksgiving, I had to pay.

All the other times, I've been able to do the free testing on campus.

People at Walmart couldn't have been nicer but they lied to me. On the web site, they offered curb side pick up. Drove around the building...no place to get my order. Finally found a bell ringer who got a Walmart employee. They are no longer doing curb side. She said I had to go inside.
GO INSIDE???
ME!!!
Remember, I haven't been in a big store since March. I finally masked up. Tried to hold my breath and went to customer service. Again, everyone couldn't have been nicer but I was inside!!!!! I got my orders, came home and washed my hands raw. Lol
If I get sick, someone make sure Larry sues Walmart!!!!

Hi there! We will get the vaccine ASAP. My friend who got Covid this past weekend has one social circle. The same diner we go to . He is very sick. Our local(now retired) politician was bashing our Governor for the shut down. Different party.

On a happy note, we saw a sunset tonight that looked like one of the raffle paintings.

Tree is up. Not decorated but up. I bought a new tree this year. I thought it was larger than what we had. Not so much. It is only 4 feet but no one wanted to mess with the larger tree. 4 feet is big enough for the 3 of us.🌲🎄
