Rather dreary here in south central pa today. But it’s in the low 50s so we’ve got that. Wednesday the weather guessers say between 5-7” of snow.
On my vacation day Friday I baked a few doz cookies, made some Chex toffee mix aka crack here at Ringville.
Now that I must take my work laptop home each day I was checking email off and on. At 4:55 we received another Administrative Order from our President Judge. This is the 9th one since March 17. The courthouse is once again closed to the public and all civil and criminal proceedings have been cancelled until at least January 11, unless they can be conducted via video. So far we have 4 reported covid cases in our district attorneys office which is the 5-7 floors. I’m on the 3rd floor but the ADAs are in and out of chambers on a regular basis. A judge, his law clerk and assistant are all positive. They are our criminal “teammates”. I don’t see any of this going well for those of us who work in these offices.....anyway....Kevin and Injust try to be as careful as possible but won’t be surprised if one or both of us get this stinkin virus.
This morning at 12:01 the commonwealth of Pennsylvania is basically back in the red zone. There is NO indoor dining of any kind. All gyms are closed, all scholastic sports are cancelled and while pro sports can continue there may be NO spectators. All indoor gatherings may be no more than 10 people, outdoor no more than 50.

If you do both get it, you being petite and healthy, and the Sultan's recent weight loss, will put you in a much better position than lots of others.

Grey, cold, and raining here. I really do wish it would just snow, that would at least be pretty. Right now everything is just a big chilly, muddy mess. Fun with the dog.
This morning we finished outdoor lights and decorating before the rain started. Indoor chores are done. I'm mostly done with gift shopping, too, just stocking stuffers and then wrapping left. Mr. Lime is cooking dinner and it is officially wine-thirty.
You only have two options - havin' fun or freakin' out...

The northeast storms are terrible. Get that heavy wet snow early in the season. Temps right around freezing.
wet snow winds up equating to black ice? Or is that a completely different thing all together?
Black ice where I live ( N Central Ohio) is after a snow fall, the road warriors plow and apply salt to to roads to melt the snow and clear the roads, leaving the roads wet. Overnight when the temperature falls the moisture on the roads re freeze, but it still looks like it is just wet...thus resulting in "black ice"
Damn...that doesn't sound like it would be too fun to drive in/on
It's not! It will spin you around in a split second!
I cleaned the upstairs in preparation for the grandkids visit next weekend. Did laundry, baked 5 trays of Orange Nut Cookies, made a tray of Rolo Pretzels, scooped 4 trays of Buckeyes ( Bryan rolled them and put them in the freezer so I can dip them tomorrow. I made a Swiss cheese ball and a Cheddar cheese ball. I'm going to make Cranberry Chocolate Chip cookies, several batches of Pecan Pie Bark (we call it Pecan Crack) and Peanut butter Kiss Cookies tomorrow too! Whew.
Tree is about done. Ryan took charge of decorating it this year.
Not how I would have done it. But it is fun and he likes it.

It is 2020. Time to shake things up.

Except for the cleaning and laundry that all sounds delicious, and exhausting! Someone deserves a hot tub soak and a margarita - stat!

Could I please get a strong flat white (no sugar) and a bacon, cheese and tomato roll to take away?
Busy, busy, busy.
Hey Bill (BP) you'll be pleased to hear I have acrylic artist's paint on my hands (and clothes)!
Good for you! Why? What's up?
Well, The coffee and roll are for breakfast.
Oh, you mean the paint?
Painting a model - scale not high-fashion - so the airbrush and stick brushes are getting a workout
When I was a kid, my life focused on models. A lot needed painting with enamel paint. I tried so hard to copy the illustration on the model box, but between the cheap brushes, paint and my youthful inexperience, most weren't show quality. Painters tape would have been a help.
I would bet you're painting a boat, right?
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Well a kind of boat.
A submarine, HMAS Ovens. Not long ago I finished the Saturn V from Apollo 11 and Cousteau's Calypso before that.

Where do I sign up to get adopted as one of your grandkids?
