Thanks for the article on the origin of the Rabbit Rabbit thing, Bill. Always wondered where that came from.

Quiet morning here so far. Grand pup is here playing with my pup so they have romper roomed most of the night and kept me up throughout as well. Gave them both chew sticks so now they are content and quiet. (shoulda done that a few hours ago so I could have slept.)

Girl kid is here with a friend. They rang in the New Year talking about whatever teen girls talk about and wanting Disney+. I think they finally fell asleep about 4 a.m. I will stay quiet until about 8 when I going to work on taking down the Christmas tree. Going to try hard not to clean today as they say that is bad luck. Shouldn't be too difficult as a nap will be in order before long.

Good morning. I stayed up to watch the ball drop, Times Square looked kind of eerie with no people, or very few people, there.

It's supposed to be almost 70 degrees today but we've already had some rain and there's more rain in the forecast, along with dense fog. There's no mail delivery so I may stay in my sweat pants and not even bother unlocking the door. I can turn on the SyFy channel and watch The Twilight Zone marathon.

Good morning and Happy New Year! Nice to have another three day weekend. E and I actually stayed up until Midnight! Must have been all of the food we at last night.

I got it right in front of me, Dally LAM!!!!!

2 c Buttermilk Self-Rising Corn Meal Mix
1/4 c oil (Crisco is what she uses)
1 1/3 C milk
1 beaten egg
1T granulated sugar
1 1/2 c pork cracklins

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Mix dry and wet ingredients together in a large bowl. Thoroughly grease your cast iron skillet, and then place in oven till the grease gets hot, pour mixture in the skillet, and cook for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
