Unwanted obsolete VHS cassettes.
Outdated/broken cell phones (because we just can't be bothered to recycle them properly).

Just saying — I didn't cheat.  I work for one of the major carriers as a customer service rep.

And when I see the feeding frenzies that occur every time Apple or Samsung releases a newer version of the same-old phone, or deal on a daily basis with people who think they should just be able to get a new phone at little or no cost because the glass on the one they have now is cracked (instead of biting the bullet and shelling out the $100 or whatever it might take to repair it), I just KNOW that a lot of those old phones are going to wind up somewhere other than a recycle bin or stashed away in a desk drawer.
