The Ringers have a holiday today and I will spend part of it painting the crown molding we had installed in our great room a few weeks ago.
Kevin will probably relax by playing guitar and dulcimer, listening to music and studying his Greek. Yes, in the past few months he has been learning to read Greek. Who says we're too old to learn new things
We are having another quiet holiday on Sunday -- just with here with Kevin's mom who at 84 just got her 2nd vaccine last week. I was able to get my 1st on Tuesday as daughters employer offer them to all employees and a +1 (her husband). They had a few extras from those who opted out and I was able to get on the list. So -- we are laying very low until April 26 when Kevin has hip replacement surgery. Because of that surgery he will have his 1st shot on April 10 with the second one scheduled 3 weeks after his surgery.
No holiday for me - but E has the day off. Wish I were with him. But he needs the rest (yes, he fell asleep yesterday around 5:00 and pretty much been sleeping since. Poor guy).
No Easter celebration here - we'll visit Mom again and then grilling ribs for dinner.

Good Morning and Good Friday to all.

Exciting times
Morning, peeps. No holiday here, just working and lurking.
I learned the Greek alphabet in college when I joined a sorority. It was very helpful after I got married. We honeymooned in the Greek islands and I was able to read the road signs while we explored. Never got lost even once.
Consider a visit when things open up again. Greece is absolutely gorgeous, so much to see and do, and wonderful beaches to visit in between. The people are friendly and the food is wonderful. Also very inexpensive, we stayed two weeks there for less than we would have spent for one week in the Caribbean. We liked it so much we went back again four years later.
You only have two options - havin' fun or freakin' out...
Looks like a pretty day. I have been walking the last 2 days. Not very far, but I am trying and am getting out of the house. Talked to a neighbor yesterday and ask if we just moved in. Ummm. Sure. When we built the house 20 years ago!!! I was walking in an area I don't usually walk in.
Anyone need anything frim Kroger?
Yes. I am going to a big store.
Only buying a few things but at least, I am going into a store with PEOPLE for the first time in over a year...
Wish me luck.❤
As some may recall each year we help out some cattle & horse teams at the Sydney Royal Show (if US TV shows from the 60s and 70s are a guide it's a bit like a state fair and is the grand final of the county fairs).
Due to the pandemic disruptions many of the teams could make it as the animals simply weren't ready.
So we headed out to the showgrounds and were only able to catch up with a few friends and with the restrictions and covid-safe rules the show was a little strange.
We had a good time until we realised that this will probably be our last Sydney Royal - with the plan to move interstate. The show runs for another week but as Toni is ill, I am not sure we'll get back.

Sigh.... It's sad to loose traditions.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

And great that you are walking! [smilie=coolup.gif]

Made it to Kroger and home! Did you know there are people in the stores? Lol
I have not been around that many people since Mar 2020. And it seemed strange. But I got some steps in. I still might walk some in the neighborhood after dinner...maybe.
