Good Morning BN'ers. Today, April 9th is National Name Yourself Day. I'm named after my father, Ken. I recall as a kid a group of us did a short term thing of calling each other by our middle names. That was kind of interesting. My middle name is Bert, after my grandfather's first name who passed shortly before I was born. As a kid, I wasn't fond of that name. However I later learned the honor of carrying that name forward.
As a kid for some reason I kinda wished my name was Scott. NO clue why that was.
Today, you can call me anything you like! Just don't call me late for dinner...
National Name Yourself Day on April 9th each year proposes one day a year to reinvent our names.
If you have ever wondered what it would be like to have a different name, this would be the day to find out. Whether you like your name or not, this day is about having fun with a different name. Actors get to try on new names all the time. While they’re at it, they also pretend to be another personality altogether.
I put this up on my FB page but I though I would drop it in the MSC... Something we used to do around these parts.
Friday Fives:

1 Bed time since I don't have to see people

i saw that also. Would have been more interesting if the hamburger had pickles.
Friday Fives:
1.What is your favorite part of the day? As long as I wake up on this side of the grass, any part of the day is good.
2. Who or What Inspires you to be a better person? Nobody and nothing because I couldn't be any better.
3. Do you Lick Your Plate? I don't know anyone named Plate.
4. What chore do you absolutely hate doing? Cleaning the bathroom
5. What is the most interesting thing you saw online this week? I didn't see anything interesting.
As far as I know, I wasn't named for anyone. After I was named, my parents found out a distant maternal grandmorher was named Mary Maloney but called Molly. I still don't understand Molly being a nickname for Mary.
Good afternoon folks.
I was named after my dad, who was named after his dad. All my younger brothers have "John" as their middle name.
1.What is your favorite part of the day? Noon. It's usually cigar and day drinking time
2. Who or What Inspires you to be a better person? My daughters and grandchildren. I don't ever want to
disappoint them.
3. Do you Lick Your Plate? No. Usually nothing left anyway.
4. What chore do you absolutely hate doing? Changing the filter in the furnace. As I've said before,
it's in the attic, in the crawlspace, and a major design flaw.
5. What is the most interesting thing you saw online this week? "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly" performed
by the Danish Philharmonic Orchestra
On a side note, Jeannette finally traded in her 2001 Lexus IS300. She owned it for 16 years.
She bought a 2021 Lexus NX300. I told her it was time she treated herself to something nice.

This is good:
maybe even better:
and of the same ilk:
I know the voices in my head aren't real, but sometimes they have really good ideas....
