Ahhh.....Friday has a nice ring to it. Not that I won't be working most of the weekend, but I can be a little more choosey on the phone calls I take
We are considering a new/out of the ordinary brewery run Saturday night. Only time will tell..............
Enjoy your Friday gang!!

Good morning all. It's nice to see some activity on other threads these days.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Good morning. It's April 23 and I'm wearing jeans instead of shorts for the second day in a row.
Morning temperatures in the 40s, what's up with that?

64? That's pleasant, not chilly.
Now Larry? That's chilly.
It's 43 here - heading to 53. Sunday is around 76, so the AC will be running!

Hey Everyone!
Just got back to my desk from my 2nd covid shot (our daughter's employer gave them to their work force and there were extras so I was able to get mine there -- only 2 blocks from the courthouse).
Kevin just had his COVID test in prep for Monday's surgery. They didn't tell him when he would get the results but we are guessing we won't get a surgery time until that is back.
It's a beautiful day here and thank goodness a little warmer than the 31 we woke up to. This is why I don't plant any annuals until Mothers' Day weekend. Too many flowers/herbs don't survive that temp. Sometime I feel like I won't either

I had Asheville (not Nashville) hot chicken & waffles for lunch. The waffles were delicious, they put mac & cheese in the batter before they make the waffles. The chicken was substandard, maybe because it was chicken thighs and I'm a breast man.

Afternoon BNers
You know that storm we were getting during the night. It must have stalled but it is ugly day. We could use some moisture.

There will be no fracking around these parts.
This what you get when you fracture (i.e. "Frack") coal seams and release the gas:

Re: It's Fracking FRIDAY @ the MSC
I thought about creating a new daily topic called "Isolation Saturday @ the MSC" because that's where we are.
Again.
Waiting on Covid Test results.
I awoke yesterday with a runny nose and a scratchy cough. So off to get a 5 foot long swab jammed up into my sinus cavity, then home to hide from the world until they tell me that it's just a cold.
No shopping for us today and tomorrow is a public holiday (ANZAC Day) so the shops will mostly be closed. I hope we have enough beer and steaks to tide us over.
It's been 4 and 5°C the last few mornings, that about 40°F in your weird temperature numbering system
. So I wheeled out the oats for breakfast and had the recommended amount. I think I will make some toast to fill the void...

Re: It's Fracking FRIDAY @ the MSC
Hi there! I've waited a month for a contractor to widen my driveway with his excavator. I see him every week where we eat breakfast. Last week he said he'd be getting to it sometime soon. We came home from a day out and found most of the job done. He has another project here and he took no money yet.
Due to the media, fracking for gas and oil has a bad rap through the media. It is highly regulated and actually very safe. Every gallon of gas you burn came from a fracked well.If you heat with gas the well was fracked with a sand/water solution forced into the rock strata, cracking the layers allowing the oil or gas to flow to the well.
Originally, they used Nitro to blow the well, but it was very dangerous.

Re: It's Fracking FRIDAY @ the MSC
Good evening. Busy day tomorrow. I'll be announcing the events and results at the big track and field event
at my old high school. We'll have over 30 high schools represented and several middle schools. Both boys and girls.
I'll be behind the microphone about 11 hours. My brother Chris, the track coach, is the event manager. Brothers Frank
and Kraig and other family members will be helping out among two dozen or so officials and workers. This will be the 60th
year for this event. We had to cancel last year because of covid-19. This year is dedicated to our dad who passed away \
