Not counting chickens yet as there are still some hurdles to get over - all on the buyers side this time.
Good news! :D

My buddy and I each got a big fishy. Life is good.

A cold banana rum drink will make it gooder.

Ha! Stinky fish is more like it. The specie is muskellunge, musky for short. It's in the pike family. I ate pike often 50 years ago, but have released all game fish these days.

Muskie have their bone structure on the "Onside", which makes them very scary. They also grow to a very large size. Where I grew up, stocked our lake with them. It went from a very good bass fishing environment to nothing as they were easting everything.

Just got an email from the reunion committee for my high school reunion, the 50th is back on (in the 51st year). It's the first weekend in October, which means if the Pelicans make the playoffs I'll miss the first round.

I've seen some so big, they scared me. They will follow a bait right to the boat, coming up from the depths like a crocodile after a wildebeest.

I have, actually my wife made it, a small sitting area with cafe" lights on our front patio. Nice little area. Sitting out there right now. This dude started to approach me from the street, and we live on a small court, only 6 houses on it. Yet, this guy comes up the drive way so i greet him very nicely, and sked if he was bringing me a cold beer. He laughed and said he was from "Tru Green" lawn care who I fired two years ago for my current company who just fertilizes, doesn't cut. Interesting conversation.....To say the least.........

I think the largest i caught, and i am going back to as a kid..........was maybe 4 feet in length. It was in the (row) boat and we beat it in the head with a shoe until it was dead. Scared the crap out of us....No girls in the boat, as we would have just picked it up and dealt with it.

Should we assume he did not make a sale or get a contract signed?

Big fish are even bigger in a small boat. I remember pike in Canada getting loose in the leaky boat and thrash the length of the boat, scattering tackle and kids as well.

I recall as a kid.......my friend and I caught a rather large catfish. Not sure, but thinking it was a channel cat.

He drove a nail through its head, and then peeled the black skin back off it. It was pure white at that point. He pulled the nailed out and it startd flopping around. The hammer came into play. We were probably 12 or 13 years old at that time. Again, Otsego Lake, Gaylord, Michigan.

So are small fish! I love catching bass when I'm out on the kayak but even perch, sunfish, etc feel like a whale.
