That is a good question, that currently doesn't have a definite answer. We will wait a couple of weeks yet to decide. I feel like it shouldn't take much longer to sell. The issue so far has been buyers who can't afford to pay as much as they offered.

And that is the issue. FOMO is driving people to make stupid offers, then the banks pull them up. At which point they lose part of their deposit.

Work friend retiring put his house on the market. Hit realtor dot com mid-afternoon. Had a bunch of drive by lookie-loos that night and the next afternoon had signed contract over asking. Lives in VA countryside, beyond suburban but not exactly rural, whatever they call that in between area.

The market is insane right now. There is a 1BR (one!) in our town for $315k. It has 'expansion potential'.

The median house price across Sydney is now about $AUD 1.2 Million. (~$USD 930,000)

The medium cost for a keg of Abita Strawberry Harvest or a keg of Jai Lai is about $74 USD. Well worth it.

That's crazy & sorry for your frustration. People should know what they can & can't afford...
I've been seriously looking at condos on the beach in AL/FL area. Prices are stupid high & I refuse to be 'house poor'. It's definitely a sellers market but I can & will wait til it flips to a buyers market.

Had a very crazy work day. That "Payroll Monday" thing I have every two weeks. One of the things I do is prepare a spreadsheet for those RN's and CNA's who work bonus shifts. This one was really big, as we are very short staffed.
