I went for a walk in the park and I saw something I've never seen in the almost 9 years since I moved here. The park is only a couple of miles from the airport and I saw a plane from Southwest Airlines taking off, they never used to fly here. I wonder when they started?
Just checked their site. Looks like they fly there direct from BWI.
Whoa, nine years went by fast.
November, 2012 - I moved 2 weeks after Hurricane Sandy.

Any regrets? Do you miss NY/NYC?

There are things about NY that I miss, but I don't miss living there. If that makes any sense.

Hi there! We had ka bobs and hot dogs on the grill at my nephew's place. My great niece's friends were loving the new pets. They are raising guineas, turkeys and ducks. The friends were hand feeding them.

Next time I fly somewhere I'll have to check their fares. When I lived on Long Island they flew out of MacArthur Airport in Islip and I always checked their fares first when I was taking a trip. I never had any problems on Southwest, I just didn't like their no assigned seat policy.

Off for our second covid vaccination jabs this afternoon.
What a palaver getting arranged. It's no wonder people are giving up trying. The government(s) have ballsed it up and the medical practices are taking advantage of it. We each have to go to see separate doctors (which will be billed to the govt) before then going to see a nurse who will do the jab (which will be billed to the govt).
Can anyone spot the over-servicing potential with that system? Especially as this is our second jab - all of the waiver/side-effect warning etc have already been done.

Southwest did not fly in/out of Colorado when I moved here. They came in about 10 years ago and quickly increased the number of flights here. Now I fly Southwest everywhere I go except Fargo.
The other airlines will try to match Southwest's fares. You will benefit even if you choose another airline.

I'm going to cook dirty rice stuffed peppers for lunch and leftovers.
Penny is cooking Parmesan crusted catfish and corn on the cob for dinner.
The freezer is stocked with bratwurst, burgers and steaks for next weekend.
He did a good job on the peppers. I don't like bell peppers, so they're all his.
I also made breakfast (bacon scrambled eggs, hash browns, and toast)
Dinner was the catfish, corn, salad, and Red Lobster biscuit mix)..
Loaded/unloaded dishwasher, twice. 4 loads of laundry.
I'm soooo tired...

What a day....
Watched drag racing until they got rain off and on. Also watched Astros for 10 innings....too bad Astros lost. Then watched Chris Gage live stream and finally the female gymnastics trials.
So glad to have Simone make the team. Joining her is Jordan....she trains at Simone's gym.
