Hope you all were able to get some sleep after various fireworks displays from near and far.
We’re heading home from the beach today. There’s never a good time to head out on a holiday. Well, except maybe between the hours of 3-6 a.m. and as much as we dread the drive home we refuse to do that so…..we’re thinking our normal 3.5-4 hr trip will be more like 6-7. Small price to pay for a 4 day free stay in an 18th floor beachfront condo
Good Morning Gang!
Back to the outpost that is the office. But by working today hopefully frees up some time at the end of the month for some "ME" time.
Another 90 degree day...plus tomorrow too before plunging below 80 the rest of the week. Today seems to be the last dry day before we go 50/50 on rain the rest of the week.
For those that are able to do so today, enjoy your capper to your holiday weekend!
Corona by day, Corona by night, any old time is just alright!
Good morning. We're in the cone of uncertainty for Tropical Storm (or Tropical Depression) Elsa. Yesterday afternoon the forecast said tropical storm conditions were possible on Thursday. Now it just says thunderstorms and breezy. I like today's forecast better.

Good morning BN.
Sausage, eggs, hash browns and toast for breakfast here also. Great way to start the day!
I had a very productive morning - I drank 3 cups of coffee, turned the dishwasher on (no, I didn't talk dirty to it), did laundry and went online and scheduled all of my bill payments through the end of the month. Now I can relax and maybe have a frosty adult beverage or 2.
Today I found out (via Neil deGrasse Tyson) that in the US nutrition labels, medicines, foot races, all sciences, photographic lenses, car engine size, power grid, home electricity, soft drink bottles, wine, and currency are all metric.
So does that mean you're inching you're way there?

As we retort. "Not by a country mile."
I felt marine stupid in Maine when I asked a herring fisherman how deep the trolled nets. He answered in fathoms, not feet. I acknowledged his answer with no clue of a fathom's depth.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.
