Have tickets for the 9th - can't wait! Whose going & what's the tailgate scene like? Been a long time since I've been to RR & don't recall a lot of options, but things could've changed. Staying in Keystone.

Going to the 9/7 show and staying in downtown Denver. Has anyone ever used the CID shuttle from Union Station to a show? Been hearing a lot of negative comments, including not arriving until after the show starts.

No, I'm not going, but do live here. Plan on extra time if you're driving on I-70 as it ALWAYS has slow traffic.
Tailgating is generally good, but nothing extreme. No boats, water slides, and goofy things like that. Mostly hanging around the area you park, as there are several parking areas that don't really connect. Last time I was there (for Buffett in 2016) you could have open liquor, and foods. Police were pretty good, as long as you aren't being stupid.

Sorry, never used it. We've always driven there.

Staying at an AirBNB in Golden. Any thoughts about whether we should rent a car for venue tailgating vs Uber (or some other method of getting to/from show)? There's four of us coming, but none of us have been to the area before. Any other recommendations/tips are welcome! Coming in on Wed and leaving Sat, with tix for the Thurs show.

I'd rent the car. The roads in/out of Red Rocks are one lane. Sometimes they open the entrance roads to help with the exiting. That would make it difficult for your ride to come pick you up.

Yes. They have saved an area of the Brewery for September 8th @ 5:00 pm for 20 people. Not sure who all is coming, so figured that number was safe.
