Coming in Thursday from SC with the wife and kids- taking them to their first Buffett concert. We're going to stay in Boston Thursday and Friday then heading to Mansfield and the tailgate Saturday late morning/early afternoon. My questions is it better to party in the lot or are there any venues nearby with pre-concert gatherings? We've never been to Great Woods or Boston for that matter so I have no clue where to go or what to do for the tailgate. We've all been vaccinated so that's not a concern. Thanks for any advice!

I know there used to be a pre-concert party at the Red Roof Inn the Friday afternoon/evening before. Great Woods generally will allow tailgating. I think there is a BN contingent that meets at the Shaws on 140 (just north of Great Woods) and drives in together if you would like to tailgate together.

Better to tailgate at Great Woods. Lots open @ 1pm.

Yeah, just go straight to the venue. You'll have more than enough time to tailgate Saturday afternoon if you get there around 1.

I think that's the plan. We are bringing our kids, 12 years old to their first Buffett concert so may arrive a little later. I got the blue lot pass, someone said it was worth it to get out easier after the concert. Thanks for the help.
